A friend at work has just picked up a phone call from this number. When asked they said it was KBBC kitchens.

its an automated dialler for tele sales company  nothing strange just dials num,bers  in its databse.

missed call from this number, no idea who this is - a possible sick individual

Sounds like the saga continues - number just popped up but as I don't recognise the number I don't answer. Good to know it's KBBC kitchens though.

Mine calls only started this week - it's so odd. I'm glad other people have had it too, thought I was going mad!

I have had 3 calls from this number in the last 5 minutes. I haven't answered any of them, but they keep calling - how can we stop them?

just had a call from this number,asked a similar name to ours and gave an address out near to where we live,saying they were from the electricy board and asked if our electric was back on.I think they would say now what electric company they were from if it were for real.

This number calls me about twice a week, always at around 6pm. Today was the first time i actually got to answer the call as they dont let it ring for very long. when i answered, i was put straight to hold music.

who is this and can they stop calling me?

Ive had a look into this one. The phone number is linked to 2 addresses, 1 in croydon and 1 in waltham cross.

The one in croydon is a company call Day L R, run by a man call L Day. If anyone wants the address, its:

Im calling the call prevention agency in the morning and they can investigate fraud numbers, as well as have the number barred from my mobile. If anyone else wants to do the same, their number is 0870 1430707

01992 781700 Just called. We were having sunday lunch so left it to the answerphone.  Checked 1471 to find this number. Just googled it and alas! There are other comments!

They are a call company from KBBC Kitchens, just been called back.

Same here, every couple of days, sometimes 3-4 calls a day.  Strange, bought my mobile on contract from o2.  I've never been around to answer which is just as well really.  Idiots...

I've been getting missed calls on my mobile from this number for months. Two today and one last night.. so annoying. I have now added their number to my reject list on my mobile so whenever thay call it automatically diverts them to my voicemail. They won't even hear a ring haha!

Had a call from this number and we were looking for a kitchen. However we did not recall speaking with them so googled the number and found this page. As they also asked for me by name it seems clear that someone is selling a call list. We are on also on O2. It would be a good idea if everyone posting says which provider they are on so we can see if this is the common thread. Am now going to try an find out who the directors are and call them at home. Thanks to everyone and the site for revealing these chancers.

Just started to get calls from 01992 781700, same time every evening, tried to call back but nothing.

I've had my O2 number for 3 years now but these calls have only just started.

I have had several calls from this number claiming to be a kitchen company when I said "no thankyou" they muttered something which sounded very like swearing and hung up!!!

None stop calling, I am sure its a Kitchen and Bathroom company. I think I have had a conversation with them on 01992784003 in which I have told them to stop calling but they seem to still be coming. K C K B or something along those lines

We've just started to get calls from this company on our landline.  Last 2 nights - approx same time - around 7.30pm - whilst eating dinner.  Really annoys us as we're really careful about protecting privacy.  We're in the process of investigating a new kitchen but have never been in touch with this company.  If they have subsidiaries or associates, we've not explicitly given consent for our details to be shared with others!

Anyway, thanks for all the info here - very helpful.  Info Commissioner's site has some useful info on this. Might try giving them a call for clarity, but in the meantime some useful info at link below.  The actual regs are a bit heavy going for the uninitiated, but bottom line, should not be making calls without consent of subscriber!  Might also be worth ringing the alleged company and asking to speak to their Data Controller, then ask about their Data Protection Notification and their compliance therewirth, incl TPS regs!!!  http://www.ico.gov.uk/Home/for_organisations/ ... ions_guide.aspx

I was getting phone calls from kitchens direct to start with, where they would hang up when answered so went to their site and asked them to stop ringing me. They did stop but a few days later i was getting the same type of calls from 01992 781700. I have no idea how they got my phone number as i'm not even looking for a kitchen or bathroom. This has been going on for around 4 months now and its getting very annoying as my phone company wont do anything to help the matter.

It's 'CapQuest' Debt Collectors...just trying a different number...to trick you into answering...after they have used all their usual numbers...

Be warned...they will ring you on another 01992 number as well...
