Gogreenpc are still in business.  My wife has had a number of calls from them whilst I was away, she told them to ring back.  Just taken a call from them myself and was asked to go to my pc and they would sort out my virus problems or else my hard drive would be damaged.  I became suspicious and googled them and found the 'Who calls me' website.  Very helpful, I will pass this on to my friends.

The man who called had a south asian accent and called himself Neil Johnson - phone number 02033182692

I have just had a call from Gogreenpc! Very similar to all the previous messages and very insistent that I need to sort out my errors and warnings that are causing problems with my PC. I eventually said I would do some research into the Co before giving out anymore information or typing in www.logmein123.com which is the web address the caller wanted me to type into the Run function. What are these errors and warnings? Does anyone know?

Received a call today from Go green stating they worked on behalf of Windows and that someone was trying to hack in to my computer , I asked various questions such as how did they know and which computer as I have two on two different lines ( the older one was the answer)
I asked “how can I prove you are who you say your are do you think I’m stupid and will just let you on to my computer without some form of proof you could be anyone,  why don’t you just came and take my front door key as well oh and here is my bank account and pin number to give you a bit more access to my private info.

I was then put through to a supposed manager who told me the same story and said if I didn’t believe them I could call 020 331 82692  and ask for James or Wilson  who could assist me .
I came off the phone to do some research and found this forum so thanks for this.  I cant wait for them to call back I will make them hold for hours and then they can bugger off.
Surely this can be reported to someone who can stop this to protect others who are not so security aware?

Have just received a phone call today from an Indian woman claiming that I had a virus on my computer.
She transferred me to her supervisor who asked me to go in to "Event Viewer Snapin Launcher" on my computer and count the number of errors and warnings (I had hundreds!!) He then advised me that he could repair the errors by transferring me to his Microsoft Technician.  He asked me to login to www.logmein123.com which is when I became more suspicious.  I asked him for proof of his identity and he told me he worked for Go Green PC and gave me the telephone of 020 331 82692 to check him out.  I searched for the Go Green PC website and found a warning on www.gogreenpc.co.uk (a genuine website) that it was a scam.
They phoned me back and I told them I knew it was a scam and would contact police if they telephoned me again.  Have had no further contact.  My advice would be to put the call on hold and keep them waiting......

they rang me a couple of days ago asking if I had a computer connected to the internet.  I asked why they were asking and they said the international routing department had let them know that my computer was throwing up a lot of error messages and had a serious virus.  I asked whose routing department had said this, and they just kept repeating the same thing. So I asked them which company they were from and it was Go Green PC.  So then I asked how they had got my phone number and they said it was from the form I filled in when I bought my PC.  I told them I hadn't filled in a form and they said that everyone who buys a PC in the UK has to fill in a form. At that point I told them they were talking total rubbish and that this was a con.  I put the phone down and so far they haven't called back!

Same story today. A south Asian woman called saying she's from go-green and told me to run "eventvwr" and showed me all the errors.
I got suspicious very quickly, did a quick Google search and found it was a scam. Got the supervisor on the phone and I told him I know you're a scam. The line went dead

I am constantly being harassed by cold callers on my telephone, especially around teatime.  One such call was from this number, I usually just put the receiver down again and not get involved in discussions.  This particular time, they kept calling back, time and time again, and knew my name and address. The caller said that my computer was giving error messages and that they were from Microsoft!  Having just been given an old laptop from a relative, which wouldn't stay online, I wondered if that could be the case. They had me turning on the machine, and running events etc. as described in an online report from Cambridge, which I've just read, and basically they scammed me out of £255.00 for their services, even filling in the password on my 'secure' bank form.  I feel that my computer has been compromised also.

I, Definitely fell for the gogreen pc scam to the tune of £125( No fool like an old fool). Actually it was £250. The first £125 was for two years cover. Then they took £125 which which was to be reimbursed by BJ Computers Ltd. No such luck! The scammers: Jessica,Wendell, Aaron and Steve. And they had the audacity to call me on the health of my pc. Phone numbers: 02033182692 and 02233189416

The thing with this scam that bothers me is that in my experience the phonecall was preceded in the previous two days by real-looking pop up messages from 'Windows' claiming my computer was infected, seeming to do a scan and showing trojans etc then a button to press to solve the 'problem' which I didn't but they must be quite sophisticated to target my home phone and my computer together?

I was scammed about a year ago from these dangerous idiots... nearly fell for it as well but got away with it thanks to Fraud Department of Credit Card. They keep phoning me or the house claiming that I have "registered" with them (I have not). I tend to get angry and tell them to stop talking and listen and my wife goes ballistic. I might try some of the wonderful obstruction tactics myself next time. Thanks for the advice, but remeber they won't leave you alone.

My computer is really slow- quite new- my daughter and son play games on it from the web, my nanny opened her face book page here- which she wasn’t allowed to do... that is stopped now- but I know something is not good with the computer- so that’s  why I really thought the man was from you when he called.  He called back this evening and spoke with my husband who hanged up and said no thank you.

When I was on the phone and he wanted to prove that he was from Microsoft-he got straight into my computer- they could see all my files!!!! My letter, mail mails, everything.
    How is this possible?
I could follow on my computer while he just scrolled down on my “control panel” to show me the errors I had and the desperate need I had of getting help from you-them!  Later on of course he asked for money and I know something fishy was going on.

So how do I get help with my infected computer?  I have had a local  computer “wiz kid” here without success!  Cost me a fortune and didn’t do anything.

I have Norton 360, but apparently that is not good enough!

Could you please suggest what I should do?
I can’t even by a new computer as I would add my old info on that computer and thereby infesting that one too.

Could you please be so kind and advice.

I have reported logmein123 to the address below.  I can’t even make a complaint to logmein123 as they haven’t got a contact –e-mail address.
