Hacked my computer

The latest is the fact that they have found something on the Internet. The guy, called John, was obviously calling from Asia but didn't call themselves Go Green or mention Microsoft. Couldn't understand the name of the Company. Left him waiting on the phone for 10 minutes. Still didn't put him off. Asked how he got the phone number as the person whose line it is does not have a computer. He just talked gibberish. Threatened him with the police if he phoned again. Still didn't put him off. Put phone down as he babbled on. Next time it will be 20 minutes with music!

I stupidly supplied my credit card details, but was able to alert the Fraud Dept at my card company and they stopped it with no charges. These people are quite simply scum.

You are a lucky girl! Can't be the same people. When they had a go at me, I e mailed Microsoft. NOBODY works for Microsoft but Microsoft. They do not cold call anyone, ever. If there is a problem you contact them. All they want is your money. No one offered to fix my computer, they wanted me to update my Software Licence, which is total nonsense. Anyone reading Jessica's comments realise that they are not there to help you but help themselves. To your money!

I was nearly scammed by them a couple of years ago. They keep phoning but it is my wife they are targetting. She's too savvy for them. I find the best way is to simply laugh derisively down the phone and THEY hang up.
