they claim they are elsworth associates

..are most of you with talk talk?  if so, then thats your likely reason-its a call centre trying to sell you junk. It doesnt matter if you are not on their list of advertising, as the companies they allow dont take you off their marketing lists-your number will remain on their computers forever

It's a call centre , or a boiler room, and it calls faster than its staff can answer, so you get calls and hear their office, but nobody speaks to you. Cretins.

yep, I just got my second call from this lot-all these automatic silent calls are pretty annoying. I didnt start getting them until I joined talk talk, although the above number is the first call in a few weeks. Whats even more annoying is that if I went back to BT now, I would still get the same calls unless I changed my number. Some websites are claiming that BT uses a few of these marketing companies now too, foreign with their real numbers hidden under a london or uk one..

We're with BT, in the TPS etc and ex-directory but have had these calls all the way thru Dec 2011 and now into Jan 2012. Have added a phone book entry named 'IGNORE'.  I guess our number probably leaked out from a mail order co. used by someone in the household, or it's a random dialler.

It's Elsworth Associates speaking with a Northern accent which sounds like the Blackburn-based PPI misselling creeps. Their complaints procedure is here:

It is Elsworth Associates, yet another company dealting with PPI, I lost it this time I answer and shout down the phone remove this number oops

I have had over 20 calls from this company since the beginning of December 2011. I have told them i don't deal with companies I don't know, that i'm registered with TPS and ex-directory. They told me earlier this week they'll stop calling yet have had 4 more calls since then. I warned them yesterday that if they call me again, i'm reporting them to TPS and was told to go ahead as they don't care and will keep calling. Go ahead, I don't mind filling in forms to report them every time!

Ive had 4 or 5 telemarketing calls in the last 24 hrs, with this number included - its a telemarketing number for a random company trying to sell to you. It doesnt matter if you are with BT, TalkTalk or anyone else-as its the same with emails-once one company has your number, even switching phone company wont stop them calling you (unless you change your number). Many of these these advertisers are likely to spread or sell your number to similar companies too. I didnt start receiving them until I started TalkTalk (even with telemarketing OFF), but I think its only going to get worse, one day youll probably need an antispam filter for your phone to stop these calls. The computer generated calls are the worst though (the ones that call you and hang up as soon as you pick up the phone). Its because a companies system calls 100 people at once, but if they only have 50 staff, the other 50 homes that pick up their phone are hung up. Annoying

I have just e-mailed elsworth to tell them i do not want them to call me as i am registered with T.P.S and i have an ex directory number . I had a message back saying that my message had been put into quarantine . So it seems to be a waste of time even e-mailing them .
If you have a modern cordless phone see if it has a call blocking menu as my does it saves a lot of hassle and wasted time.
This company are like a lot of others just chancers

Makes you feel like sending 1000s of emails to their inbox to spam them, in truth the inbox never gets checked so no big deal to them.

They must have many complaints per day regarding cold calling.

Have received another call from this number. When I answered, all I got was a high pitched beep then a female voice saying goodbye then the call cut off

this number rang me at 18:45 on the 2/2/12 and left no message really does my head in

I got a call from this number but by the time I got to the phone it had stopped ringing

This number calls my mobile on numerous occasions. Don't answer and they don't leave a message. It'll cost them loads to phone my mobile as I have a long message answer service so don't bother!!!

Get calls everyday around same times. Once told them to get lost & stop ringing, they pretended they knew me, like they were talking to best mate!  Think it was one of those PPI calls. Got red ot previoue callers,now more!l

just had another call from these people. Elsworth Associates in Blackburn Lancs.
They have a registered office in London. They specialise in reclaiming money for miss sold PPI on loans credit cards etc. No matter how many times you ask them not to keep phoning the calls still come.
So much for ex directory and TPS

This number called and when you ring back an americanised voice says your call is important to us! I bet it is!!!
