I live in the flat above their office.  Totally unprofessional bunch of clowns.

You have to ask yourself why would they make there job out to be something which it is clearly not! I wouldnt have had a problem if what they advertised was actually legit and they were clear on what the job really entails. People arent clearly bums seeing as they are searching for jobs and obvisouly being misinformed is not the best way to get people in the job roles advertised!

Thank god i checked the net, im a graduate who is looking for a real carear development with a legit company. This is something they promised but turning up today made me see the unprofessional nature of these companies, they even quoted to say that they were behind carphone warehouses success. However i did look into this and did a little digging, carphone warehouse have no idea who Oval innovation are!!!

There needs to be something done about these advertised jobs, simply they should advertise what the job really entails! Then no one would have to complain about it!

I read you message on this forum about these "scam" companies. I was wondering how you got the list of names of all the companies that do this type of "scamming?"

I'm hoping to flag it up with some people who may be able to take action.

They are now trading as A1 marketing, from same address. I had a preliminary interview with them yesterday after receiving an email almost identical to Tom's above (but with different company name), fortunately I checked them online before going back for the second part of the "interview".
I've read a few different forums now and basically, whatever their name, if they give their address as 1-3 Bath Street, it seems you are going to end up doing door to door sales with commission based pay only.

I wouldn't call this a scam since they didn't actually lie to me, but if they would just say that it's door to door sales in the first place then they would save a lot of time for a lot of people.

you guys have it all WRONG.... NONE of these companies are scams at all... i know cause I worked there around june, but I left cause my manager Mike was acting weird around me... he made me really really upset....so i left, what did he do? he kept calling me a FAKE after me 1st week until I left, and he was accusing me of telling him how to run his business.... lolllllllll i don't care how he runs his business!!!!!!!!!! and i don't care how he pays people! i have nothing agianst commission based pay since it is not illegal! the funny think was he was nice towrds me in front of everyone in the atmosphere... but in the office 1-2-1 he was different... and it was difficult for me to tell him with what i was struggling with or need to improve

i have spoken to some of the people that work for scottish power under primus uk they (not the top leaders) ALL told me they never got their money (out of random) after 3 - 4 weeks! and this mike guy siad that a lot of people quitted very quickly in his group... after 3 -4 weeks they were gone... mike even told us this... he siad that because they very not up for it... but really he wasn't payin them anything...and these people were like doing 3-4 apps a day! or even more which is a lot of hard work.....

apparently they went on a trip..and mike told them they had to pay him back...and one of the was like to me "ahhh I still got my money yet after 3 weeks, mike said we have to pay him back after we come back from the trip" ?! he actually did say this to them cause i was there in the office with them.. he even admitted people haven't got their money.... so i was like..ok.... after the 5th week i called someone...and they said to me "oh mike still hasn't paid me"....ok you worked there for 4 weeks and no money?....strange...so i told her about the webs and they were like "i can't believe you told me that..."...mike told us he was lazy...hmmmmm

BUT... everyone else...e.g. charities, MP , talk talk... were not complaining....

NO OFFENCE,,, but they need to sort out Mike.... cause that guy has some bad attitude in his business...

all he did was ask me "how do you say this in kosovan"... i was like... i told him how to say it...but when it came to the business... he almost putted me in tears cause he kept on calling me a fake... considering the hard work i putted on to improve.... when I asked if I could work with someone else...all i got was "that not the point, you need to be yourself"... I was like,,,"well i need to practice my close 2 how can i practice it with no script, and no one told me how to do it, when i ask them all i get was keep practising close 1 lol i get into 5-6 houses on average a day!?" i asked ****** to tell me all she said was "that's not important you don't need to know that!" and he has the nerves to call me fake? that out of order!...

NONE of these companies are scams... honestly they are not... you can NOT blame the company if you didn't get paid,either A its your fault, work harder, and if you find that difficult, then ask for help (no harm) if they ignore you...then do what ever, just don't lose control... or B, speak to your manager and ask to get paid!

but honestly NONE of these companies are scams... cause I worked there in old street had fun there, they actually do pay you..u just need to work harder, and love what you do, if you find it difficult then ask for help(there is no hard in asking for help) if you are being ignored then i don't know what to say to you...

but these people Olu and Duncan... i've spoken to them, they are actually really nice, in fact it was easier to speak to them rather than mike, even though I wasn't in their group,

but really none of these companies are scams.... you guys need to do your research....

if i had to do a job like this again i would.... no seriously i would, its not bad... anyways i was suppose to have a interview with an organization with is similar to theirs in manchester but never went cause its too far an can't afford it, but if i could i would go and work there,

by the way its not really door to door sale, cause your not really selling anything, your just saving them money which is good....well apart from charities...lol no offence,,, i would actually sign up charity if it was legitimate...if they knocked on my door, why not? if its for the sick and needy, then yes!

yeah tina.... u sound like a [***]... i worked in old street before, and that guy acts like he owns the whole office, and erm.... the whole company is a scam.... oh i just sent that guy "richard" that you said is the actual manager an email...under the email...anonname@..... i worked for mike too aswell, but he neva called me a fake, or really ignored me..well sometimes he did.. he was just...like you said.....lazy... but strangly he didn't care what people went through in the field...

neva do door to door sales, its a sham and it ain't worth it! and yes it is door to door sale.

I used to work in this ofice also. it is hard work but you can have some fun! i still talk to my old friends there and some have gone on to do really well. if you like working with fun people then this is the one for you. my manager always had the time for me and helped me with a lot of my things in my life. shabba!

The main road you'll be on is City Road. There is a green line painted along the sidewalk.  Follow the green line up until it turns left for Moorefield's Eye Hospital. We are the first set of blue double doors and you will see a plaque that says '1 Bath Street'. The door should be unlocked, so just push to enter and reception is straight ahead.

I have got two interviews tomorrow... one with A1 and the other sourcemarketingdirect ... i was really excited when i got a call from these both cmpanies.. it sounded a great oportunity, especially to be involved in maketing and how u can grow in the company... but after reading this website .. i am having second thoughts! and definitely will not be going ....!

how can you tell if the website is a scam ?? the sourcemarketingdirect looks ok.. but i was very suspcious of A1 because it didnt have a full postcode and the website looked very basic especially when they said that they are big organisation and how they wanted to grow bigger and open more offices...

they called me straight away after sending them the CV on a reed website.

I had a missed call from 02072517295. After typing the phone number into google the name appeared DS GLOBAL, their website is http://www.dsglobal.co.uk and company address is: 1 Bath Street, London, EC1V 9LB
I have done a bit more research as the address sounded familiar. I went for an interview to the same place in 2006. They have changed their name now but its the same people and the same scam. They using the same technique and want you to work for free.
Im really surprised how comes they have managed to survive so many years.
I will definitely report them to the right place.
No one should take advantage of unemployed people.
