- Shaun| 2 repliesWell I was called in mid August. First I got a text saying my application has passed their process (I don't even remember sending an application) and I was called some hours later, saying I would need to come down to Oxford Street, London, for a test shoot. Luckily, that week I had some other things going on and was unable to accept. Now, December I had just typed in Krypton Modelling on Google, and a search came up with 'scam'. Thankfully I now know.

- shaniice| 6 repliesCan anybody actually shoe proofs as i have just contacted and spoken to someone at krypton and they saying you are troles and i will recieve my photos after i pay the full balance im confused and scared im gunna lose nearly a grand!! Heeelpp!!
- Anna replies to shaniiceThe only trolls on this thread are the two "positive" posts on Page 1. What did you expect Krypton to say? Did you think they woul say, "Yes, it is all true, of course we are con artists"? If you read the posts properly and look at the history of the different companies which have been shown to be cons Ithink your question is answered. If you still think they are legit then pay your money and wait to see if the 'photos arrive That is, of course, if you can afford to lose that money.

- georgeplease don't be fooled by this company Matthew the guy who works at krypton studios holds himself very well as a professional agency and manipulates you into buying photos and sells you these great stories telling you, that you will make it. THIS IS A LIE! the contract says that you will not receive photos until you hVe paid off the full amount, I hesitated and said no Im not waiting 4 months for my photos, he then quickly agreed to sell me 10 photos first and to not tell anyone as he will get into trouble. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. let's stop this fraudulent company from
scamming innocent people and ruining peoples lives making them insecure.- Caller: krypton studios

- Aura| 3 replieshi :) I didn't see any complain message from anyone who actually bought a portfolio ... What's that means the people who complain is the one who didn't want to pay the money for what they offered ? I am wondering where are or those who paid and set up the portfolio , did any agency really contact them ? We paid £1500 for my son web portfolio and we probably 40 agencies will have an acces to it . We will see what happen .

- Angry| 5 repliesI really hope the next person who is tricked by neon models does some research before getting trapped in this disgusting scam. I was stupid and went along to the studio before seeing these comments.
I was applying for some agencies and sent my photo to neon models as I thought they seemed legitimate, they started hounding me the next morning with calls and messages telling me how beautiful I am (they do this so that you don't have time to research them), said all this rubbish about going for a test shoot, told me I would need to pay a £50 deposit to book the studio just to "make sure I turn up" and it will be refunded after I get there. They mentioned nothing about the £150 cancellation fee until after I had paid the £50. So obviously I had to go to the session as I would rather lose £50 than £150… When I got there I had a very bad feeling, alarm bells were ringing, mainly due to the fact that every other person there looked absolutely nothing like a model and it was completely clear that this "agency" or company or whatever it is has absolutely nothing to do with modelling.
I had my photos taken in a [***] little studio and then waited to speak to the "modelling expert" who was going to "talk me through how I did and which agencies would be best for me". This was a morbidly obese woman who just scanned through the photos saying "nice, nice, oh very nice", and then literally wouldn't let me leave until I bought a photo package. I Pleaded with her saying i really couldn't afford it and as nothing about buying photos had been mentioned to me prior to coming, I surely didn't have an obligation to buy the photos, but she insisted that I will not be able to get any work without a portfolio and I HAD TO PAY for the services I used that day and I could set up a direct debit contract and pay off a minimum amount each month. Eventually I agreed to this since I didn't have a choice, its been over a year and I still haven't managed to pay off the amount, I noticed that they had charged me twice and took out two payments instead of one which they are NOT ALLOWED to do, and caused me further stress in the end trying to get hold of them to get a refund since they don't answer any of the bloody numbers they call you off.
Anyone who is serious about modelling and actually could be a model, please note that you should never have to pay for anything, about a month after this unfortunate incident I actually got signed by a proper agency in London and guess what I didn't have to pay for anything. Don't believe their lies about needing to buy a portfolio.- Caller: Krypton

- karlaMy boyfriend signed up to the website, same story as everyone else's gave £50 deposit ( over the phone as well I told him he was stupid for doing that) he's 19 years old, for some reason they told him to bring a parent because he's under age, probably to make themselves look like they're good I haven't a clue. He gets an email with the address of the place he has to go to in London for photographs. Joe never thought to search this and just thought he would put it on Google maps when he gets there or closer to the time. I Googled it on friday and it came up with the name Krypton studios. I Google the name and its full of people and websites such as this making complaints about them being scam fraud etc. So immediately we go to the bank next day to make sure no more money comes in or out his account from them. We already booked our tickets to go to London on Thursday ( noticed other peoples days have been Thursday too). He wasn't sure whether to just not go in case they charge him for not turning up so he decided to email them saying something's happened and he just cant make it. Not a surprise they come back saying they have to charge him £150. Joes managed to cancel his card details etc so they can't do anything now.
I'm livid about it just being his girlfriend and hearing about the way they're treating ' customers ', also especially reading about how many others this has happened to.
I don't understand how they have had modelling companies ( or what ever they are) in the past that have been shut down for being fraud etc, but still continue to open about 8 other ones since doing the same thing? I have managed to find so far the two who are running it are called Chelsea Singh and Michael Hannah. Joes told the police and another place who deal with fraud etc and is reporting them. He has also messaged them saying he's informed the police, which I'm sure they're probably use to but I wish others would do it too and make more of a thing about it. It's the people they are pulling the wool over their eyes, who then don't want to do anything because they feel nothing will come of it that are making their money and business last longer and it shouldn't go on anymore.- Caller: Krypton studios/new faces
