- Johns dad replies to JohnYou should go back to the school and learn 'how not to run a scam photo studio and not to scam innocent people' Looks like your mum didn't raise you well.
- Munthy| 1 replyHmm I said my daughter is not free until march 1st due to other commitments and we are in the middle of packing up our house to move so....shockingly the £50 deposit went up to £100 so I think scam or pressure tactics are being used here x
- Charlotte| 5 repliesAnybody no if 02070794508 (uk models NOT A AGENCY) is a scam or not they're asking for £50 but also told me to bring my own clothes n spares for change, if any1 could help me please as don't want to get scammed especially when I have a 9mo to feed but if it's not a scam I don't want to miss it it's only took me 12 years to book the courage to apply, thank you in advance
- ken p. replies to CharlotteIt's a scam.
- Steve C replies to Charlotte| 1 replyAny of these so called Agencies that want money for a portfolio are a scam. There's been so many of them over the last few years. Often, it's the same people using a different name. A real agency will not ask for money up front. They'll pay you. Alarm bells should always ring if they tell you how beautiful you /your child is. Flattery is often used, so that you drop your guard. Just Google 'scam model agencies' and see for yourself.
- Mark replies to MunthyIf you asked to pay a deposit it's a scam then you go to photo shoot and pay about 50 pounds per picture the reason they say bring a lot of different type of clothing is,they will want you to buy at least one photo in different outfit.
The photos will be done by a non very professional because a modelling photographer cost a lot of money for them.
A REAL modelling portfolio consists of photographs with work that a model has already DONE. Remember no reputable casting agent works with agencies or sources that have unprofessional people with no experience on their books.
If anyone is interested in modelling all you have to do is either walk in or send your plane photo with no make up,no expression, hair back, looking straight at the camera just like a passport photo and send it to either Storm models or FM model Management or Select models,Models 1, Boss models. They are legit agencies and it will take then 3 seconds to see if you are a model material, but expect a 97 percent chance of a NO. If they are interested than they will call you for an interview and if after the interview they are still interest they will take photos to see if you are photogenic and if yes they will offer a place on their books but will NEVER charge a penny and when you get work from them that's when they take 10-15 percent commission from your pay.
Please remember that there is no such thing as modelling school or an agency that helps you to get into modelling. There is only two, legit modelling agency and a scam agency.
No real acting or modelling agency's charge fees, take deposits or charge for photographs , if they ask for it, RUN. - Kay| 4 repliesSo glad I've found this site. I have also been pressured by pavlos at uk models and Darren at Neon models for past couple of days both stating they want my son to come to London for a photo shoot and I'm to pay a £50 refundable deposit and bring different clothing for the shoot etc... Glad I didn't give the money... Must admit Darren's tone of voice went quiet off with me when I said I'd call bk ermmmm I wonder why! Well tomorrow when they call they shall have a shock as I will be far from shy in telling them I'm disgusted! Parasites 😡

- Steve harries replies to CharlotteIt's a SCAM the called me from 02073234466 at one point when I tried to cancell! Scam uk models
- VanillaHad a call from Irene at uk models... What a rude, pushy girl she was! Never registered for anything like this before and never will again, they made me feel very uncomfortable. I said that I couldn't book there and then as I didn't have my work rota with me; this did not go down well. Then when I questioned the £50 refundable deposit she got very rude with me saying how I'm 27 and it's now or never basically. I thought this was very patronising coming from someone who sounded about 16! Needless to say their pressure tactics did not work and I ended the call. I don't know if it's a scam or not but I sure wouldn't want to accept 'help' from these kind if people.

But them date here thinking this is about i kids and i got to be safe so i googled there web site and could only find this site. And im so shocked to here this but happy at the same time cause i know what ill be telling them NO THANKS lol .
- kala replies to natalie| 2 repliesI have had the same for my daughter £50 deposit and to book quickly as possible place may go! , I think it's a scam too... put your money in a local photo shoot and apply to agency with your own portfolio. .. they are not agents, they just make you buy photos and advise you on what direction to take. ... so you are no further on
- Nicky replies to kala| 1 replyThis IS definitely a scam. I was silly enough to fall for this a while back. I paid the "deposit" and I got told if I wasn't there I'd have to pay a cancellation fee of £150.
Long story short, they gave me an address in London and asked me to bring a change of outfits and wear no makeup and keep my hair straight. I was traveling from Scotland and they told me they'd pay my traveling expenses and hotel ect and I was to call them when I arrived in London. I travelled all the way to London from Edinburgh alone to find that not only did the studio not exist, no one was even there to answer the phone! I'd walked around London with these heavy bags for hours hoping it wasn't true and I'd been asking multiple taxi firms about this place trying to gain a little hope. Nothing!
I had to spend the night in a cheap, run down hostel in lewisham and get the coach home. When I called again in the morning, the "manager" answered and he was being agressive towards me and threatened to take money out of my account because I "didn't show up" After all the tears and drama, I just wanted to go home and curl up in my bed. But instead I had to cancel my account and contact the police. I felt so naive! Don't fall for it guys x - Mary replies to jayne browneI got a message from someone named Kerry. I don't know whether to call back because I'm unsure as to whether it's a scam or not
- JanineI'll had a call from uk models silly paid the deposit can I get it back only did yesterday ? Single mum can't afford to lose 50 pound :-(
- Caller: Uk models
- Call type: Text message
- NatCats replies to sandra| 1 replyDO NOT USE THEM! I applied to Uk Models for my daughter and paid the deposit being told it WOULD be refunded if for any reason I didn't want to go ahead with it. The fact that the date wasn't convenient, I live 5 hours from London and that it just wasn't what I wanted my daughter to do made me call back a few days later to be told by Jenny to have a think about it and call back to reschedule an appointment and if not the deposit will be returned. I have called back and spoke to Jenny again who made it clear that the £50 is a non refundable deposit and only refundable of you make the shoot! If you make the shoot why would you want the refund!? I told her I would never have paid the deposit had I not been informed that it wasn't refundable as I wasn't sure I could make the shout in the first place. She told me again that it's not refundable and if is like she can listen to the recorded call where I paid for it (implying I'm lying) to which I said yes. So I have to email her! It total rubbish. Absolute con artists. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
