I have just found out my father who is in his  80's has sent this company money, can the person who wrote above please give me some advice as to how to get his money back. Do I contact them directly or ring the Fsa? I am quite worried as he doesn't have lots of money anyway and i would hate for him to loose it.

Thank you all so much for the advice :-) i will report them tomorrow. It's disgusting how these companies take advantage of vulnerable people,  he is also being targeted by a company selling carbon credits which i have looked into and appears to be another scam. I think the best approach is to change his number too as it appears he must be on  the suckers list you have mentioned. Many thanks.

Firstly I am quite saddened to the fact that this is quite obviously a deliberate attempt to sabotage my company.
I am only 30 years old however myself personally have over 9 years worth of experience within this field, coupled with the other employees we as a company have nearly 80 years worth of experience!! I am a GIA certified Graduate of Diamonds, hence my passion for this subject.
I find it quite interesting that all the comments were written on the same day. We are looking in to the IP address and they came from. I am aware the comments that got taken down last time all came from the same IP address in the Canary Wharf area.
Ref advertising on Junior broker, we as well as companies such as Morgan Stanley and  Credit Suisse Advertise here as it attracts the professional staff that we are looking for.

ref Client "Sparkle" If he/she feels that we have acted in any way other than professional I urge he/she to contact us directly so we can put an end to these frivolous comments.
All of our clients are provided with example prices to ensure they are getting value for money and we have many satisfied clients!! All of our clients are kept up to date with latest auction results and major movements within the market.
Surely if a client were unhappy with their purchase, would it not be standard practice to contact the company as a first port of call instead of writing false statements on these blogging sites???
It is a shame that by competitors writing remarks such as above all they are doing is tarnishing a fantastic market.

This blog is very interesting. I am an outsider to the diamond world but i am an expert in looking at SCAM companies - (i got bitten by a land banking company) -  I find it very strange how "Alexander Correya G.D" from Empire Diamonds Ltd comments on the above posts defending his company and then THE NEXT DAY two of his so-called "client investors"..... praise the company and how "amazing" it is. Seems very suspious to me. TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, alike their comments.

Looking at all the facts .... it seems very clear that - Empire Diamonds is trading from a Virtual Address, in Lombard Street? Why is this Alexander? Naturally i am suspicious. Hiding something?

The company has no past performance or company accounts. In my opinion i would not touch Empire Diamonds Ltd company with a barge pole.

Also you need a "passcode" to get into their website.... i wonder how many claims/outrageous guarantees are on the website? Is the passcode to stop the FSA looking at their website and closing them down?

To the person above, as someone who follows these types of blogs, i've learnt to be fair and down the line as there are decent companies out there and there are terrible scam companies out there.

Would you not say that it is more suspicious and a lot more telling that Sparkle, Help and Facts all somehow beyond mysteriously on the same day? The fact is, that is the most odd of all.

Also, doesn't seem to be a case of the investors making them appear or calling them 'amazing' or anything alike- they seemed to be pretty upfront and honest about their experience of the company in question...

As an investor who doesn't dabble in much else other than Investment Funds, I like to follow the alternative market from afar, but having had friends who had dealt in alternative markets, some have had good experiences and some have had shockingly disgraceful ones- my point is that there are both. I don't know anything about Empire, good or bad, because i cannot access their site without this 'passcode' of theirs, but the only worrying thing about this blog/thread is that bad comments were made by 'different' people in one day randomly yet everything else has been spaced out normally as one would expect.

I understand what you are saying but would ask a question.  Do you also find it odd that two happy clients of this company would seek out a site for reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls to post glowing reports?
Sparkle, Facts and Help were carrying on a conversation, so it is not unusual that they should post on the same date. Sparkle asked a question an d the other two offered information and advice.  If you spend any time on this site you will see that this happens a lot.  Both Facts and Help are regular contributors to this site, with lots of information on different scams.

Once again it saddens me as to why people are attempting to tarnish my company's name. There is no evidence of any scams or misrepresentation. Should any client have and doubt to the validity or the authenticity of my company I strongly urge them to come and visit us where we will be able to show them some certified stones ( by reputable worldwide recognised Gemological Institutions) along with evidence of American Wholesale and Retail prices on stones shown. We are not pushy sales men, we simply put the facts on the table and allow the client to make their own informed decision.

You've exposed yourself to be nothing but the same person due to the over use of exclamation marks, inverted commas, and unnecessary capital letters.

Have a look at the job description that has been posted, then followed by the original reply from the company director, and once again followed by two client testimonials.

You will see that all four posts have uncanny similarities if you read between the lines!

I collect diamonds myself and this is a company in which I would avoid.

Although I cannot speak for any of the above posts, I have in the past requested a brochure off Empire Diamonds. I was contacted by a so called 'cold caller'. He was a young chap but his knowledge seemed beyond his years. He ran me through the market and explained how the market worked. It was very interesting and although at the start of the conversation I never imagined I would want a brochure, I later in the phone call decided I wanted one. I gave him my home address and the chap told me I would receive the brochure in a couple of days, I was also told I would be contacted in a few weeks. Unfortunately in the mean time, my financial position changed and I was unable to go any further. The man who later called me up was very understanding and wished me the best of luck and left it there. I cannot say for sure if the company is a scam or not but I can certainly say they do not badger you or pester you and seem to be a reputable company to invest with as after doing research have found no reason not to invest in the future. The events you mention seem to have happened some time ago.  What made you suddenly decide to see if the company number appeared on a site for reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls.  Without wishing to be rude, your use of English is, to say the least, quirky.

Buyer beware. Companies offering coloured diamonds etc are largely unregulated and would not typically fall within the scope of the Financial Services Act. Tread very carefully before parting with any money.  Few companies have any track record over any reasonable period of time.

If you suspect that you have been approached by a company in a way that is in some degree against the public interest, then you can report the approach to the Insolvency Service: http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/Companies/co ... about-a-company. They have the resources to carry out a proper investigation and the power to wind companies up if they find grounds to do so.

The gambling/investor analogy! After the last few years, I feel that there is very little difference between the two. However a commodity such as diamonds that have seen 40 years of consistent growth, seems to me a far more attractive investment proposition, than banking with some of those banks now part owned by the Tax Payer.

Credit crunch, bank charges scandal, PPI, MP's expenses, the phone tapping debacle. "Bob Diamond" the rate rigging cowboy from the US. Who can you trust these days?

Alex is a guy that I have met once, he has a huge passion for Diamonds and Gemology. A relatively young lad, who has had the minerals to set up his own business, in a tough financial climate. The nature of the internet leaves you open to this type of abuse, from people looking to discredit you. Why not give Alex a call on the number above and make a judgement for yourself?

FSA could not regulate a boiler ask old "Bobby D". Gemology is surely safer science than Guessology which many investments and gambles are based upon. The market speaks for itself "40 years of growth" and track records well, "Lehman Brothers" had a good one of those! A business is called a Startup for a reason.

Jealousy is a terrible quality and those who can do rather than spend time discrediting the competition!

I know. I buy ALL my carbon credits, diamonds, fine wines, rare earth and land from firms less than a year old. It's so much more exciting knowing there's such a high risk of losing everything. Can't beat it - buy while you can, these boys may be wound up tomorrow !
