Hi, i just purchased a $368 voucher for flexi family and think that perhaps it was a scam. It really upsets me because i know of similar deals and feel really ripped off

Received a call from an Indian gent called Richard who promised me a cheap holiday for $255 for 4 people and for 7 days!! How on earth can anyone in their right mind give you a holiday for this price unless it is in the desert!
I certainly think it is another scam which is doing the rounds...appreciate your comments.

If they call you 'cold' it is a safe bet that it is not for your benefit!

Yep. Same deal. 189, 7 nights, vouchers etc. Indian accent, plassed to supervisor. In fact they wouldn;t shut up and thats what pissed me off the most. So much so I had time to look at the website and look for scams.

As per usual, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

    Cheers

Called Canberra number answered by not company name but "Michael" seems the poor man working out of a house in supposedly Canberra does not understand French at all.

All this after we had an Indonesian/Indian for over half an hour asking him about his whereabouts (physically, right now) he insisted Canberra but when really pressed where he was he admitted to the Philippines but the call came from Canberra by satellite.

He told us we were in the running to winning a 7-day holiday COMPLETELY free in Thailand after asking us where we would like to go and how often we travel (this was initially set up as a travel survey).

We then moved the subject to computers - they use ACERS could HP are hard to get "there". He kept having to check with his supervisor where they were and what the phone number was and told that he wasn't allowed to give it out - his supervisor finally allowed him to give us this universal number that in curiosity we rang and "Michael" answered = OMG they are probably sitting next to eachother.

We asked our first o/s caller if he had an iphone and he said he couldn't afford one and only was paid at the end of each month. He insisted iphones were completely made in the US even though phone says they are assembled in China. When asked what suburb in the ACT he said just the ACT. When told we used to live there and asked if his office was in Ryde he readily agreed. Such a poor scriptreader.

Another thing he was not allowed to disclose from where he obtained our contact details and he said they had a list (which they did not pay for): we countered with well you have all our details so we wanted to know a little about the company. He couldn't tell us is A$ how much an ACER computer would be and that no-one there had iphones because they were so expensive.

We were even quoted a reference number in case we win this trip which is the hook to get people in to answer questions about their holiday habits: oh please tell us when you will be away and where you are going cos guess what guys? We know where you live! Is the Australian Government aware of or involved in this in any way? Just thought I'd ask.

I don't know why most of the complaints here are only about the phone calls and not about the actual Flexi Family card...And, honestly I don't think none of the bad reviews here are from anyone who actually used it. I am saying this because my cousin used Flexi Family vouchers for his holiday to Cairns during March this year. He came back and said that the deal was really good and nothing to complain. From my understanding based upon the things he shared with me is that Flexi Family is one of the very few legitimate companies. If anyone had any real problems, then I think they should first try to contact their customer care.

At the risk or repeating what a lot of people have already said... Just a warning that Indian sounding callers from "Flexi Family" are at it again (given that the last complaint was at the beginning of June and today is the 28th of June).  Same old story except this time they very quickly hung up when I asked for clear pronouciation of the name of the company and where abouts and then loudly doubted their location of Canberra.  Sounds like they are getting more careful.  Therfore its even more important that we take more care too.
If this was a legitimate company they would be seriously worried about this feedback - it obviously isn't.
Don't get conned by this group, hang up.
To all those happy customers - instead of going on a holiday maybe you should go back to school and learn to write English - maybe you would be more convincing.
