Got a few calls on our home phone offering family travel vouchers from Flexi Family. Gave ABN which all checked out. When we contacted a few participating hotels directly, they had never heard of them and said the only 'vouchers' they accept are from the Entertainment books.

Long pause on the phone when we answered the call, so suspect it's from overseas despite them telling us it's a Canberra location and giving the phone number above. Wanted us to book the accommodation through them including dates, so would be wary of intention of burglary including the money scam side of it.

Will report via the ACCC ScamWatch website - suggest anyone else who has been hit does the same.

the name appear as Flexi Marketing solutions Pty.Ltd.

I can not work out if I was scammed or if the company is just slack and inept. Eventually I got a letter and the holiday vouchers but I have not tried to book anything yet When you ring back or email usually they do not answer except with a answer machine

I just got a call from Flexifamily, as you all have they are phoning back Thursday for me to sign up. BUT in the meantime I am going to do something that I see no-one else has done, I am going to phone just a few of the hotels etc on the website, making sure it is not a scam phone number first of course and ask them if they are in conjunction with Flexifamily.
I will report my finding on here so that you can all see whether it truly is a scam or not.

Hi, Well I did ring a Hotel very reputable Parkroyal Melbourne Airport that is on the Flexifamily list of Hotels and guess what "They have never heard of them" So guys it is a scam, I have contacted Consumer Affairs and told them about this company as no-one else has.
Hope that clears it up for everyone.

They won't give an ABN because they are not registered for GST and that is a sure sign of a scam.

These people ARE scammers! We bought $189 vouchers from Flexifamily and got nothing when it came to a booking.

This is what a holiday package should be like.... i enjoyed my stay wit their coupons n i just bought it for $189...!

Funny how all of the posts from 'people' in this thread who are positive about flexifamily are written with exactly the same grammar and punctuation!

Go to their website, use "flexivisitau" as the password for the visitor logon. Look at the list of Hotels, ring one of them (using their REAL Phone number, the ones on the flexifamily website is false) and they will tell you that they have never heard of flexifamily and would not honour any supposed vouchers.

Why these guys get away with this bothers me.

Same deal ($189 for 7 nights of vouchers).  Lady with an accent said, I could not call her back, because she was at the sales call centre, so I would not be able to reach her (too many telemarketers, I suppose).  She kept checking with her supervisor etc..  I said, I was in a rush and had to go.   She called me back a week later.  She wanted to go on the net at the same time with me to show me the various hotels.  I said, I don't have internet at home, only at the office.  So, reluctantly she gave me the web site and pass code.  I checked the web site out and straight away found it strange that I could not click on the photos to enlarge them, get more details, or see a map etc..  The contact number for each hotel was exactly the same (02)6100-2959.  I found one Hotel that I liked, so I called the actual hotel (not the number listed).  I asked them about their connection with the Flexi Family Program.  The hotel operator did not recognize it.  Then, he remembered "Flexi Break" which he learned about while working at another hotel.  He said, that they were a scam and that this sounds like they are the same group.  He then looked up the web site and commented that the photos look like they are a (cut & paste) job from various hotel web sites.  He contacted his hotel's Head Office and then called me back to confirm that Flexi Family was a scam!  So, glad I checked it out and did not get scammed!

Yes Flexi Family is definitely a SCAM.  We have lost $368 to them.  Beware of indian sounding people who use western names such as Mike Tennison, the salesman and Shawn Anderson who is the supervisor.   We were referred to the ASIC website where they have their ABN listed and it all seems so legitimate. Robin (no surname given) answers the phone when we call and tells us there is a process for refunds and our name is on the list. We paid the money and got sent 16 vouchers for either buy one night get one free or meal deal at selected places, but were not happy and sent them back for a refund which we were assured would be given if we were not happy.  We are still waiting, 4 weeks later, for a refund and expect we will not get any money back.  It is indeed a sad situation and they really go to a lot of trouble to hook you in.  Just say no and hang up....and the old saying...if it sounds too good to be true then it is!!  We have contacted Consumer Affairs re scam warning to others and are still waiting for a reply from them....so they are not very useful either.

Hi there.  Consumer Affairs are useless.  We also contacted them via the website to report Flexi Family as a possible scam and have heard nothing back.  If your report was taken seriously then no one would be getting scammed now.....and yet they continue.

Hello I am glad I checked this company out before purchasing. It always pays to look into these so called good deals. It is also disappointing as I was going to take my family for a holiday up to Queensland to the theme parks, what a shame.

Hello I got called by them yesterday and today.  Yesterday he said his name is Max, but today he said his name is Kili but was otherwise very convincing. He provided an ABN for Flexi Marketing Pty Ltd, the website and visitor login, assurance of a cooling off period following receipt of paperwork!  After a brief web search it seems this scam has been around a while but they are getting a bit more sophisticated.

Well same [***], Indian guy calls offers me this 8 night holiday for 4, telling me it would only cost 189 dollars for the 8 nights only thing got to either have breakfast or dinner at the hotel, or whereever I stay he did give me his abn number this it it if anyone want to check it out   63143156629

for got to add to my message that he ask for my visa card number, but i refused to give it to him until i had checked this out so glad I did, SCAM SCAM

paid $369 for package complained about being lied to spoke to indian on phone twice now number is discconected pissed off want my money back

Then when I do get through they promise they will get a supervisor to call back but they never do. I call every day now and over the last week they have not answered. I also rang a reputable hotel on the Gold Coast and they advised me they their lawyers are trying to get their hotels name off the Flexifamily website. Thanks Robin, Mick and Daniel (all with Indian accents) from Flexifamily - you have helped me no end.
