They call me everyday.  I answered it once and yelled at them to stop calling me.  The dude said "I have never called you before".  Whatever.  Stop calling!!!

Yesss... Just got a call right now. It's CBA Selling insurance, have spoken with them before and advised I was not interested.

Got 3 missed calls from this number i answered the 4th and there was silience for 3 secs den lady from CBA started speaking den i hanged up last time they called me i did the same didnt get any more calls for like 10 months lol tits quiet

I called back the number and the answer machine has a customer service phone number - I called 1300 305 515 and requested my mobile number to be taken off the list.

Apparently CBA have commissioned Avon Insurance to call people - however, a computer calls you first!!!
Hence why it seems like there are a lot of hang ups???
That is what their customer service said anyways :)

It's apparently a outside marketing team of CommInsure. I rang Commonwealth and they said so and I told them they were pushy and rude and I won't be buying anything because of it. [***]. it sounds like a massive scam and even the envelope I got full of info was dodgy and opened at the front unlike any other mail I get from Commonwealth.

I got a call today. Upon answering they did not speak anything and I hung up.

Got these guys calling every day as well at work!  When I answer it hangs up.  Have asked them stop calling.  Had the same issue last year.

i've had this number call me at least twice a day over the last 2 weeks. I answer and it either cuts off or i hear nothing....!?!? can't be bothered calling them back to check it out. will bar the number eventually...

Yes. It is Avon marketing on behalf of Financial Institutions

If you logon to netbank, and navigate to your contact details

- there is a check box at the bottom that allows commbank (and affiliates) to contact you about special offers, products and services.

un-check this box and save.

This should stop you from getting any more calls.

Recieved a few calls now. Have checked on databases, and 02 8094 4220 resides within a number range issued to Optus.

thanks Amy for your info, I rang that number to take myself off the list. Avon were very helpful in this matter. I will also go to the Netbank preferences to uncheck that offers option box so others don't spam me.

I hope they call me back with a real person... I tried returning the call the same as a few of you did and I got the Automated service....What I want to know is was I charged for returning the call and if so, where do I send the bill for this call?  I sure as hell am not paying to return an un-solicited call to some tele-marketing firm....

They have called me a couple of times a week for about 2 months now! So confused!

I am also getting repeated calls at work from this number. I'm not sure how they have this number, I don't bank with Commonwealth and even if I did I haven't listed my work phone number with any of my bank accounts (I've had this number for about 5 years).
I have had calls from this number in the past and never returned the call, but they started up again this week (several calls per day) and this prompted me to google the number and come across these posts. I have called the number back and have heard the Avon Direct Marketing Services message.
Have just called their Customer Service line - 1300 305 515 and have requested to be removed from the database. The guy I spoke with (very polite and helpful) told me that it was most likely Commonwealth Bank. They are also affiliated with MBF and St George.
I have been removed from the list (which apparently takes 24 hours to be active) but I really don't think this is good enough. It shouldn't be happening to begin with.
