Just got a call from 0282822800 & will block the call from now on under "stalker". As easy as that. They can keep calling, but will waste their time. I love these new smart phones!

they have not stop ringing. rang it back and it said it was life insurance and if you want to opt out of calling list leave all these personal details so dont give them anymore information than what they already have

IT IS A CALL CENTRE FOR ANZ I RANG ANZ AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD REMOVE ME FROM THEIR LIST I SAID YOU BETTER OR IM SHUTTING MY ACCOUNT

Just got a call now from 02 8282 2800 and I called back and told them to take me off the list!!! I think it's a trick someone trying to get your information be carefully people!!

No use telling Telstra. I tried, but they don't want to know about it. Must be making them money somehow - just like the 'Premium SMS' they bill for......

NUISANCE CALL

Had a call from this number again tonight ... have had many many many calls and there's never anybody on the other end. Tonight their was ! ANZ Life Insurance the bloke said, he said they've called me 5 times in the past and left answers on the machine, I say it's double or triple that number of calls, and we never got the messages. He was polite, and I asked him to remove my name from their list or I'll take them to the ombudsman. Told him I new it wasn't him personally, but perhaps the company he works for might like to take a look at this webpage with all of us bagging the crap out of them, and stop making calls with nobody on the other end. Hope I never get a call from the number again.

For me it turned out to be OnePath, a subsidiary of ANZ, to whom I had made an enquiry about insurance.  But to get unsolicited phone calls from a machine that hangs up on me is just plain rude and stupid...

Keep getting phone calls from this number and no one seems to be on the other end. This has happened at least 8 times this month, it's a nuisance.

i am sick of receiving these nuisance calls, i hope ANZ and ING are happy, cause i will never deal with either again, get a life and leave us alone to enjoy ours

Been getting these calls for last week or so.. waste my time when I do eventually answer.  Caller is onepath for insurance, they will certainly not be getting my business in the future.  Ask for more information to remove me from the list, don't think so.  Unfortunately can't use donotcall as I'm on a corporate account.  One path will be getting an email...

Further information - onepath is an Anz company.  Lodged online complaint with ANZ..

They rang me - i hnaged up and called them back on private number- its a life insurance company trying to sell you insurance- not worth answering or calling back :)

Just called back and a recorded message says that it was "OnePath to make an insurance offer"

This number is owned by Onepath insurance, which is the new branding of ING insurance. The company is  a " a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group ", hence the ANZ bank. If you have had any dealing with ING or the ANZ bank, that's why you are getting the phone calls. Here's some info from the press

The article reports that "ANZ has a clear aspiration to grow more aggressively in the large and rapidly expanding wealth market" when discussing their branding and ownership of Onepath.

Under current government legislation in regards to telemarketing call, they have the RIGHT to call you if you are present or past customer of the ANZ, even if you are on the Do Not Call register list. To stop them calling you, you need to tell them, which is rather annoying, but until then they are legally operating much to everyone's annoyance.

I got it a few times. Trying to sell me life insurance. Got my number from ANZ when i fell behind in a payment on my CC  .

I got thios prank call on my home phone after receiving it on my modile. They must be idiots!
