Thanks Guys. Just like many of you, the phone rang 3 times and hang up before I had chance to answer. I wonder what the game is? Any ideas.

just had this call too, I rang Origin, got put through to Sales, spoke with Donna her number is 132463 ex 66277 she is going to take my details off their telemarketing info, also remove all phone/email etc info, so as to stop these calls. hope this helps others.....molly :)

How bizzare... I just got a call too! and I just rang them yesterday too about overdue bill...

got the same phonecall today after stupidly verifying my account by my mobile number.
Now i have to confirm in writing that i do not wish to participate in any surveys... Sigh...

I had my phone in my hand  and the number popped up and hung up in less then a second, so I googled it and this came up. I also have nothing to do with this company.

How about this. I get a text message saying I have an overdue account with Origin and to pay within 7 days.  I dont even have an account with them, never have and now never will either.  Anyway after calling their 13 service only to be cut off three bloody times and enduring 25 minutes of wasted time, I finally get through to them and they acknowledge their error stating someone must have used the wrong mobile number and thats the end of it. Now today I have no less than three  calls from this 0290439399 number which of course I will not ring back.

I have a missed call from this number.

Yeah, I'm getting them as well.  But it alway hangs up when I answer no matter how fast I am .  Hey google actually was my  friend here :lol:

I called back and It was Origin Energy calling to say they are sorry they missed me, as they had wanted me to answer a survey about the service they provide.

Yep, I missed the call cause I was up a ladder.  I thought it stramge it only rang three times...  I called them yesterday about a final bill which included two weeks extra they tried to add on to my account (I'd wondered why the bill was so high)

Glad I googled to check the number, I spoke to Origin yesterday regarding non-receipt of recent gas bill!

I love this site! Same thing I just missed the 3 ring call and thought I would check out who it was first.

I phoned them yesterday about getting details on how to pay my account in advance after they ignored several of my emails. What good is an email system if they aren't going to respond to them.

They ring about 3 times then hang up. I just spoke to origin yesterday about getting extension on my bill. They always seem to ring the day after that!

I hate Origin Energy I had a Door to Door salesman come and asked me a few questions and when I told him I was on a pension he said that he would have to take my details back to the office and all he had was my name nothing else and then I had a letter from Department of Housing whole are my Landlords stating that I can not have the apartment buildings electricity in my name when I asked WTF they showed me a invoice in my name from Origin Energy for the Apartment building that I live the guy just signed me up and didn't even get my address right it has taken me so long 7 months to have this dealt with even going to the Electricity and water Ombudsman to have this dealt with but apparetnly I had signed something (which I didn't) and Origin still will not provide my so called signature so at the moment I am still responsable for a $1300 electricity bill for an apartment that is owned by Department of Housing and then they also had a fee for disconnection from their suppliier which after they were told what had happened ended up waiving the fee and reconnecting the service then Origin gave me a $350.00 Early Termination Fee so now the bill is $2,276.35 which includes the Invoice - late fees -  early termination fees - Debt Recovery administration fees. All because I spoke to a Door to Door salesmen. I never agreed to have energy supply me with energy at all let alone have them take over the electricity for my apartment building that I don't even own.
So please be aqare of Origin Energy I have spoken to the Electricity Water Ombudsman and believe it or not but they said that 72% out of roughly 4000 complaints that they receive from Customers of Energy suppliers 72% of them are from Origin Energy so that is saying something isn't it they are rip offs and they will do anything to get money from people but I am on a Pension and I am not responsible for this Invoice and how am I going to pay for a 2300 dollar electricity bill I find it hard enough tryiong to pay for my current electricity bill from AGL who has been my supplier for over 5 years now and my curretn bill is usually $130.00 every 3 months and that is hard enough to pay for.
So please be aware of Origin Energy please

If all cold callers would be like her.  so saying.. Not up for it.

I keep getting recorded messages from Origin saying "Your account at (such and such) is overdue. If the account holder is available..press 3". I just hang up...Few months back I was getting them 2-3 times a
day. They stopped, but started again.

Funny thing is, we never had an account with Origin, nor do I even know where the address is that they supplied in the recorded message.
