Sky - they've phoned me 4 times over the weekend from this number, despite me telling them very sharply I wasn't interested the first time. Now I just don't answer, but its really annoying...

This number actually answered this time just a few moments ago and said they were ringing from Sky offering some kind of promo to existing customers. I asked for my number to be removed from their list. If you can't get an answer I suggest you phone Sky and ask them to stop. I didn't get into detail with the chap on the phone, who was very pleasant it has to be said, but I guess they are trying to flog Sky HD or 3D or somesuch ahead of the blasted world cup nonsense.

02920 199900 is SKY. They seem to be generating far too many silent calls - report them.

Whats with this number always calling and no one speaking?
Is it an automated number? If so then someone needs to sort that out because its getting very annoying.

People should do what I've started doing. I'm so Pi55ed off with these calls that I now ring thier sales department and tell them "This call is to tell you I don't want your Latest Package or Upgrade" and then hangup. It doesn't solve anything and it costs me money on the call but it don't half make me feel Good at that moment that I've wasted thier time. :-D

Oh and another good one to do to them when they get through to you is just say "Hang on a Moment while I turn the Telly down" put the phone down and leave it then after nearly a minute go and put the phone back.

i am sooo annoyed to discover this is Sky - we have been sky customers for years, so why the spooky unsettling calls?  i have picked up the phone daily a few times a day for about a week now, to have no-one on the other end.  AND ansa phone messages left with no actual message left.

if it carries on will call sky and cancel my contract with them.

To all the [removed:lang] out there. Read what people have posted on here about why there sometimes is no answer from these phone calls.

These Call Centers use an Automatic Dialing System they may call 100 people at any one time, if they have 20 manning the phones the first 20 customers who pick up the phone will get to speak to the sales rep if you are the 21st or after person to answer you will not get put through to anyone. That is why you won't hear anything.

This number called my phone (I never, every give out my number to companies) repeatedly a few months ago, and it's started up again over the last week or so. They are currently calling at all hours of the day. I never, ever answer. I just called the number with my number ID, and the answerphone says it is Sky.

I am on the Telephone Preference Service list as not wanting marketing calls but I am being plagued by calls at all times of the day. I usually allow my answering machine to kick in so I can screen calls, but have occasionally picked up and found a dead line. The calling number is always the same. 02920199900. How can i stop these calls?
A Google search seem to indicate these calls come from Sky. I have a Sky account but I can't find anywhere on their website to stop phone calls although I can find where to stop emails

Ring them up and tell them to remove you from the call list or you will cancel your subscription. They are only trying to get you to upgrade your package and make you spend more.

No I don't work in telesales. I was just pointing out to some people who have posted on here how these Telesales work (I know some people who have worked for them) Reading some of the posts people have put on here (the THICK [***]) seems like they have not read from the start what people have told them. Now Trot Off and Do One.
