- LalaThe annoying thing is I live in a ground floor flat so I don't even have a loft for them to insulate! & I've just changed my home number to stop these kinds of calls coming through as I was getting up to 10 a day on my old number despite being TPS registered!
- Caller: roofshield
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Pat MayWe are on the telephone preference list and should not be receiving this type of call. My husband is disabled and it took him a long time to get to the phone.

- TerryI have been getting calls from this number recently on a daily basis.
They are going on abut the latest government GREEN scheme. Which, when you check it out on the internet comprises several 'options' to improve the energy efficiency of your home.
There are many options that are included in the scheme(up to 47), and an energy assessor has to visit first to determine which set of options are 'best' for your property, these upgrades have to meet certain conditions, in that the energy savings must cost in over a given period. (from 10 to 25 years) and there could be a penalty for early repayment!
There is no upfront cost to the householder/ landlord as the 'loan' /grant amount is recovered from the energy savings that you make and appears to be 'loaded onto your energy bill.
An overview of the scheme can be found at the following URL:
:
http://www.which.co.uk/energy/creating-an-ene ... deal-explained/
If you sell the house the improvement 'loan' transfers to the new owners and you must provide the new owners with the relevant energy saving documents.
The times that I have spoken to them I have repeatedly stated that I am not interested but this falls on deaf ears. I have no wish to enter into a lengthy loan agreement {which is what this is} with dubious benefits to me.
The way this company goes about their business reminds me strongly of those companies involved in the current PPI scandal, this seems another variation.- Caller: Becoming Green

- Ex EmployeeUsed to work there. They don't pay wages to their staff. They also ignore the TPS and never get the data screened. If you ask to get your number removed I doubt they do it. No one knows how to remove data apart from a few staff who have now left.
The receptionist is lovely and it's not her fault. She has nothing to do with any of the harassment, it's a much needed wage in these times. Problem is she only works part time so your returned calls often go unanswered.
They were featured on BBC1 Wales X-Rays tonight talking about how they have scammed money from people and have done no work for them.
Do not trust this company. If you are TPS report them. If you can, block the number.- Caller: Becoming Green

- Keith EllisI would like this number being stopped from calling then hanging up on answering.
- AdrianThere was an article about this company in the Guardian Newspaper
http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/aug/08 ... tre-fired-staff
They employ serving prisoners to work in their call centre in Cardiff. The article quotes an employee who said the prisoners have convictions that 'are understood to range from murder to fraud and drugs offences'.- Caller: Becoming Green

- BrianThey just phoned me again, about loft insulation or cavity wall - Becoming Green UK Ltd. Asked if I'd heard of them and I said I had, when they last made the nuisance marketing call to me and that I was TPS listed. I hate these companies that make marketing calls and hide behide the guise of customer information services. TPS is a waste of time these days OFFCOM & ICO may as well me done away with as you may as well be Pi**ing in the wind as make a complaint!! - At least we could save some taxpayers money that way.

- ibbyI have signed a cheque of £299 recently, with Becoming Green. Then heard on x ray programme last Monday about the scam. Grrrrrgh, I phoned Becoming Green with my concern this week and they reassured me there was no scam, they have revamped over the last few months with new employees, as the sales team they did have said the wrong things to customers!! They also said trading standards went to visit them and OK'd everything to go ahead as there were no more concerns. So today I have contacted trading standards to check this, and awaiting a reply. They are fully aware of what's going on as a lot of people have phoned them. So I will sit and wait to see if they (Becoming Green) keep their word!!!!! I have big doubts though and I believe I will not see my £299 back in my account and really do hope this isn't the case. Will I be able to get my money back at any time, I wonder. A very worrying time.
- BarbJust had a call from this number. As soon as I picked up the phone it rang off. Shall now block the number.
- JonI foolishly signed a cheque for an assessment for £299 2 weeks ago, and only did the research afterwards. I discovered that they are not authorised by Government, so all they do is contact an authorised assessor and send them round, if they do anything at all. This can be done directly with the assessor for £150 - £170 or so, who will probably do it within 1-2 weeks instead of the 12 weeks promised by Becoming Green!
Salesman Peter Flannery gave repeated assurances that if we decide to cancel we could within 7 days and would receive a refund by return. as per the T & Cs which he gave us. The cancellation letter was delivered (recorded) within 5 days. Now, nearly 2 weeks later, we are getting the classic runarounds; "the lady who does refunds is away until next Wednesday"; now she's back but "The Sales Manager has to approve and it's in his hands, I can't tell you how long that will take", and so on.
I'm losing patience rapidly. It's Trading Standards next stop, small claims procedure in the County Court after that.- Caller: Becoming Gren
- TJ from BrumI answered (cos if don't answer, can't report to TPS, only to ICO, who're pretty useless!) & the lady lied that I'm not on TPS list! - as if anyone's gonna fall for that! - definitely reporting them! - to https://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer
- Caller: didn't ask
