- Nan replies to saaaa| 2 repliesAs no-one on here has given any info to these messages (except ""Sarah" who could be a plant from the scammers), I am not sure why you have posted your message here. Apart from that I agree with the message you are trying to get across.
- saaaa replies to Nan| 1 replyeh not wanting to offend anyone, but the more info from victims-to-be the better , I am only here cos I am sick of these scummers as are many other people, network providers should give free service to block anyone number if we wish so from harassing us just cos we have mobiles, email etc. that we use
- Nan replies to saaaaAs I said, I totally agree with you. It is a disgrace that neither the service providers nor any Government body are prepared to do anything to protect people from these scammers. What really gets to me is that so many of these scams, particularly the fake loan ones, are targetted at desperate, vulnerable, people who don't realise that they are being conned.
- saaaascum txt contains this info, it is from "AFK telecom", who probably harvest mobile numbers of gumtree and likes

+447786200611: TV Licence payment is overdue. To pay £5.60 using the debit/credit card you last used ending 9800 please text YES to authorise. Call 0300 555 0293
A couple of observations:
0300 555 0286 and 0300 555 0281 are genuine numbers at www.tvlicensing.co.uk for payment arrangements.
£5.60 is used as the amount in several of their examples. - MattI got a text from TV Licencing, and thought it was dodgy, so actually rang the number from the website.
It is a valid number for them. The text was sent in error as my mobile number had been put on an account for someone else.
It is not a scam- Caller: TV Licencing
