Received this scam call this morning. I wonder how they know my name. I hang up straight. Hlb please investigate.

pls dunt kena con, they called me today, everything seems so really, they ask me to pay if not i will be locked up, dont pay, ask them to issue the polis waran.

Please be aware, this is a scam! They pretend hong leong bank, and they know your name and ic number. Becareful!

A chinese lady claimed that she called from hongleong - kota kinabalu. She say I'm did not pay my personal for 3months. I told her that i did not have a personal loan or any matters with hongleong bank. She told me, if i did not make any payment and they will take legal action against me & etc.

I just say go ahead. :P

I got a called this morning, telling me is from HLB hq,  said there are amount of 18k has been transferred from my account ( I don't have any account in HLB ). They said out my full name and ic no. And inform me that my account is open in Sabah branch. I knew is a scam, so happen is bored Sunday morning so I decide to spend some time with them~ I said : ya, account I buka di Sabah ( they knew I'm not), they keep saying someone stole my ic and open an account, hahha, I just reply : nope, I'm the one open the account, I'm the one transfer the money, no problem at all, just release the 18k to the third party, u got my word.  Then they said wanna transfer the call to bukit Aman balai police , I said why? No issue at all, I m the one open the account, I am the one transfer the money, why should I talk to police? At the end they got pissed off and end the phone~ what a wonderful Sunday

On 29-May-2017 about 2:10pm, I received a called from this number : 03-2180 8888.

It was prank and the caller claimed that he was calling from Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) HQ and wanted to remind me about the 3 month outstanding personal loan which I accrued.

Immediately I knew it was fake.

Nonetheless, the guy tried to convince me by confirming my IC number - they know my full name and IC number.

He kept pressing on that it was me who had it wrong and not him and wanted me to double confirm my personal details.

I laughed and told him to send me legal letters.

He said ok and hung up.

I got a call from this number this morning, said they are calling from HLB HQ to verify there are amount of 18k have been transferred from my account to 3 banks ( I don't have any saving account with HLB actually). They kept saying that account is belongs to me but only name is correct and ic is wrong. I then asked if the transfer is from my account, what is the problem? They mentioned is illegal. I asked why is it illegal? They tried to explain but no valid reason was given then they hang up the phone suddenly.. @@

I jz received the call from 0321808888, he told me the same things too, be aware of this.

I just received the call from them too and the story is similar to the above. I think she just follows the script and read it to me, I told her to find someone who speaks English to me (because I don't understand what is she saying), she said she will call me back after that. :) Luckily I google it now i know is a scam.

Received this call today around 12pm and said is from HLB. And the story same as other people. They have your full name and I/C so makes you believe that they are call from bank. So right after I hang up the call, I straight away call to Hong Leong to clarify this matter, and they said it's a SCAM!!

This is a prank call. Said someone is using my details open a acc at Sabah and there are some abnormal transaction happened. He say wanna carifly and offer some help. I stopped the conversation and told him that unless I get the official letter from HLB. Otherwise, there is no way for me to answer you any question. Then I direct closed the phone de.

Received a call from this number today. Said I owed them money. I said I never had any dealings with HLB. Suddenly transferred my call to IPK Sabah. Tel: 088454222. Googled the number. really is IPK Sabah number. One Sergeant Tan answered. Said will take down my report and check if got others case pending. Heard him talking on the walkie-talkie said that I am a suspect in a drug trafficking and money laundering. Then he play nice said the investigating officer can help me. Transferred me to one Insp. Lau. Also said the same thing me as a suspect in their case. Suddenly he said need to check with BNM on when to freeze my account. So I ask what to do now. This is where they start the con. They ask to transfer to another account, which they claim is an officer from BNM. Reason is they need to check for any suspicious activities. They think I stupid. If transferred to another account, how to check for suspicious activities. This is where I hang up. Later they keep calling back. Lastly I block their number. My advice, if you don't have any dealings with HLB, hang up when you get a call.

Today receive this call, got one Malay guy name Mohammad rizuan stated that my maybank is not stable.im just hang up the phone. the story is being change, no more Hong leong bank.

Said from hong leong bank, mentioned something fishy about my account. Mentioned some money transfer got stuck amount 18k, and one transaction 3k already cancel... actually very confusing
When i ask what account, he sound blur...... when i ask what type of account is it saving , current or credit card... he said its akaun buku.... so sound a bit off for me...
just called hong leong bank... confirmed scam!!!!!!!!!

I got called from this number and introduce his as Mohd Ridzuan from Hong Leong bank HQ. He said my account is in risk and got activity of transferring out a lump sum of money to another account then want to verify my full name and IC no.
The funny part since when I’ve open account with them
