Yes. Me received the call today about two Maybank staff from ASP Chong. The person speaks like Indian and I asked him to send me a letter from Police Headquarter and the person is putting off the phone.

This is my second time to receive a call from 26163999 talking the same story as mentioned before.

I did receive this number keep calling at 1100am, saying someone hold my ic and suspect that my account was transact a large amount of money in hong kong, but yet I so sleepy and ask them to call back in the evening. Anyone can do something to stop all the cheat, please....

Received the call at 11.38am with the same story. He asked me going to KL before 4pm to help them to settle the case.

I received same call and told me  to report to bukit aman police tomorrow , he claimed that i'm into illegal transaction with a chinese name called " Nam xx hoong "  and using my citibank .

Recall back , i just use my credit card for my online purchase Groupon.com yesterday and i received a scam call. has anyone here receive call after online purchase from Groupon ?

I received a call  from this ASP Chong and he claimed that his from Jenayah Commission Prime, he told me i maybe suspect in Money Laundry and he speak like a Indon.   WOW....  where he can get my information.

hmm and he left his headphone number 0163423312 in-case i need to contact him.

Got a call from this number today. Same storyline as above and i nearly fell for it but decided to google into similar cases and here i am. Thanks so much for putting this page up. The caller called again later and i told him off...

I also just received the call today from a man with an Indian slank stated that I was involve in the illegal money laundering. Gosh... wonder how he got my full name and tel no.

I also received the call, please alert their other contact no. 03-2691 2011 & 016-612 9353 the person told me his name is Mr Chong Wee Teck and the inspector at Bkt Aman is Tuan Lee.

Received the same call today at about 2pm. Same story about the money laundering in Hong Kong. Has anyone report to the police?

I received a call at 11.05am today from a "pre-assigned" Bukit Aman tel no. which is in my handphone contacts, where I got from newspaper (0320319999).   This particular officer who does not want to disclose his name, says that I was served a notice to my house address (which is correct) telling me I was involved in money laundering scam that involves someone (he read the name so fast that I do not know XXX???).  Ask me to report to Bukit Aman next week - no time is stated.   When I ask further on his name and details as I need to check on the authenticity of the case?  He got very angry with me and kept saying I am involved in a money laundering case over and over again, telling me a NOTICE was served to my house address & I will be arrested in the next 14 days.  He put down the phone abruptly.  What shall my next course of action? Make a police report?

Yes this is also the same person calling me and said ASP Syaiful but with Indonesia accent and ask me to call HKG number involving illegal something....

So wanted me to meet him in KL and to call him at a 010 number.

First of all, I would like to say thank you very much for you guys publishing this incident on-line. I received a missed call again from this same number 03-20319999, second call after this Wed. It's really a disturbance to me! Luckily I see all your comments, and known it is a fraud!

i received the same call today saying i involved in a fraud case in HK asking me to call back HK police. caller no is 03-20319999. Well i going to make a police report today.

My wife received the same and I called back to the caller ID appear on the phone. Amazingly, it is really bkt aman number. However, the officer asked me question as if he has received many return call and know that the person is asking us to call HK also. He just told me not to do anything but to do a police report if kept harrassed by the same.

I think many of us(malaysian) will think that making police report is just a waste of time. I thought the same.

If you really care to do something about it, I think pressuring the BANK instead to lodge this complaint would be more effective as those bank is as well part of the victim. Moreover, bank like Citibank would be more customer oriented to listen to your case. I will try to lodge a complaint to the bank instead.

My gut feel is our information is leaked somehow and even answering this people "yes" or "no" to his statement like you have this A bank X credit card should be sufficient for him to start cloning card and using them.

I've just received a call from +60320319999 today at 13:03.  The caller claimed he's calling from Bukit Aman and spoke in Malay with Indon accent.  Knows my full name and said he requires my kerjasama.  I said OK cos I was curious what he wants to tell me.  Then he said they're investigating one case involving two men (Yap something and can't remember the other guy's name).  I interrupted him by saying 'Kenapa Bahasa Malaysia kamu lebih teruk daripada saya?'.  Then........ plik-plak, he hung up.
Bad - the scam is still making it's rounds
Good - the 'smart' people behind this scam is still using the same story &  name (including lousy B.M.) so it's easier to know it's fake. Our local policemen can speak better than that.
