Caller said they were calling from British Gas to book a boiler service. I went ahead and booked then after I hung up I logged into my British Gas account and saw that a service had been booked for the agreed date. I looked up the number here anyway out of curiosity but the call was clearly genuine.

they left a message for me to call about changing my meter. When I called British Gas to see if this was genuine they had no record of anyone needing to call about my meter - very odd. Maybe someone out there has cloned this number??.

phone # was a mobile but came up 03332 on caller display. heavily accented Asian  supposedly from British Gas wanting details for a service visit.

Received several calls from this number but hadn't answered and no message left. I finally spoke to someone who said they were from British Gas and wanted to book my annual service.  I was suspicious because it isn't due for a few months. I had an online chat with British Gas who confirmed they had not called me. They will report to their fraud department.

Be very, very cautious with this number.  I've had it confirmed by British Gas on TWO occasions now that it's not them who've called us wanting to book our annual service. Someone is spoofing a BG number.  We've had a number of calls from 03332029500  but I've only answered twice. The previous time, I just said I'd book any services required online and then subsequently realised the call wasn't genuine because the online link to book a service wasn't yet live (it's not due until June).  I've now blocked the number with but I'm sure we can't be the only people being called like this - I suspect to try and obtain details or when we are not home.  When I challenged the male caller on the phone today and said I didn't believe he was from BG he hung up on me immediately.  Just to re-iterate, British Gas have confirmed these were not genuine calls from BG.

Received recorded message claiming to be from British Gas stating "This is British Gas. Sorry there are no                         advisors available to speak to you at the moment. We will call again. Please ring 0800 0720 (cannot remember the rest of the number) if you do not wish to receive updates on British Gas offers. This number has also been claiming that a council tax refund is due! Clearly a scam.

Had Homecare visit yesterday. Suspect this was an automated follow up call.
Call announced it was disconnecting 'due to a technical problem' and hung up.

British Gas wanting to bring my gas boiler service forward by one day. No problems. British Gas engineer turned up as expected.

Likely a number spoofing call.

Male caller saying he was from British Gas. Wanted to book annual service, and asked address details. Said we book online and he promptly hung up. Not 100% convinced this was genuinely British Gas.
