got a call twice from this number but no one there!!!!!!!!

These so -called callers (led to believe from scamming for Payment protection) called today did not leave a message as my TRUE CALL machine stopped them dead in their tracks.

If by previous calls they are not a genuine company as they DO NOT supply a name that can be tracked PLUS having worked at the Home Office you can ask them - if you let them - for their company's registration number at companies house London - if genuine you can check - else tell them you are not interested and not to call back else you will be taking them to court for £50K for annoying you if they persist!

Telephone companies do nothing they are just happy to take the money for any calls, Telephone preference (TPS) are a waste of time as well as the Police who do nothing as well!

Okay not a cheap machine is the TRUE CALL but has reduced calls from three to seven a day to practically nothing - one every week now. It allows you to decide who to accept (see their web-site for demonstration) and then can be blocked - ONLY TRUE genuine calls get through.

As above you can pay to stop these calls but NOTHING much gets done until this unit was brought into action

What upper prats - do they realise I will not answer their calls if they DO NOT provide a message on my TRUE CALL machine - sodding waste of time - on their part.
Twice in a week - what another one tomorrow - but will gain same treatment - no left message they can B*GGER OFF!

Two calls from this number within half hour. I have answering machine with caller display so do not answer unless i recognise the number. They do not leave a message. I am also on TPS, does not make a difference. Still get lots of nuisance calls.

Well whomever they are, the girl who called me was so bored she left a message of herself singing on my ansaphone.

I was called by this number at 8:23 this evening.   There was no-one ther. Most annoying.

I got a call from this number and when they asked or me by name I said 'depends on who's calling, when i said that they daid I'm going to call you 3 times a day every day.

this phone number rung me 3 times , and each time i picked the phone up it was silanced and then the phone was hung up

if you get a call from these people do not pick up the phone they then pass your number on

Had a call from this numberr today asking for me by name. Said I wasn't interested and please don't waste my time. I was waiting for an important call so when the phone rang again I answered it to hear the same voice say 'You're a [***]' How do these calls get through when we're TSP registered?

These pests ring from overseas, on many different numbers.  TPS doesn't work on overseas calls.  However, there is nothing to stop you reporting them to TPS.  There seem to be, literlly, hundreds of people on these forums who think that by just registering with TPS it will stop all calls.  It only works for sales calls by reputable UK sales compnies.  They "scrub" their calling lists to filter out TPS registered numbers.  Rogue companies do not do this nd overses companies don't need to.  The other thing is that TPS  is not a "spy in the cab" type service.  They do not know who is ringing your number.  Unless we all report unwanted calls they do not know about them and cannot act.

Get phone call from this company today at 14:55.. told them to remove my details from their database.. they hang up. Am registered with TPS but they are as useful as a chocolate fire guard!

fed up with this number calling especially late in the evening. Tonite was 845pm. Dont bother answering it now. Not interested ppi questions asked. Foreigner asking the questions so hard to make out and when asked to repeat gets nasty so i hung up. Phones about 6 times a day. Really pissed off now.

I just got one of these calls - 0333600512.  When I answered the person the other end just went "Yeah yeah yeah" like in an old Beatles song, then hung up.  Usually my ansaphone is on and they don`t bother but it`s disconnected at the moment for decorating.  Back on tomorrow then "Bye bye spammers" :-)

FYI I too am registered with caller preference or whatever it`s called, but these calss are Skyped through proxies and 'appear' to be normal so they`re let through.

Just got a call from this number, total silence, held on for about 20 seconds and no-one spoke so I put the phone down.

Keeps calling me until I answer their questions- Blackmail anyone?
