They ring all the time.  Also same from 03 9610 4585.  They are both debt collectors.

Was Tru Energy

Received a phone call from a blocked number, was an automated attendant stating it was TRU ENERGY, began by asking to press #1 if i was the owner of the following address "Address",  so i did, then an automated message stating that i was owing $1460 in overdue bill followed by an option to hear the message again.

Once i hung up this was followed by a text with contact details as TRUenergy stating

"Have you overlooked payment of your TRUenergy Bill?
To make payment or discuss further please call us on 1800 336611.
Your reference ###########"

As far as I'm concerned this is a load of S#!T and don't be fulled as TRU would call you directly or send you some correspondence via Snail Mail if this was the case..

Oh yea, and if you are responsible for this scam and are reading this  .... may karma be your friend too.

Note: all posts are the same in stating that calls are made outside of TRU's operating hours... same here.

I have had nothing but hassles from tru i have been waiting since Nov 2011 for a bill and now its aug 2012 , I just recieved a call from this number ,and says why havent i paid my $1900 bill ,i told her my story the questions i asked her she answered well but she says she ĺl email me tomorrow (Saturday)'with the invoice ,,i wont pay it till i recieve a bill in the post

Please everybody, call the Ombudsman and complain.  Tru-energy changed their name to energy Australia but they are a disgrace both in service and to deal with.  There should be an official inquiry into this wanked organisation

"Do not call" excludes calls from:
Charity organisations and companies or organisations that you have an account with or deal with in some other way, such as banks, utility companies, etc. also, "Do not call" has an expiry date, I think 7 years from inception so if you have been with them longer than this, you need to reapply

did you receive a txt message from them saying your account is overdue?
I received a txt saying mine is $532 over due, however, i know for a fact that it is not.

this is 100% a scam! do not give them any money!
