You guys are a bunch of passive aggressive whingers. Instead of staring at your ringing phone like a dumb ape, how about picking it up and telling the person at the other end of the line you are not interested? If you're polite about it you'll spend a maximum of 30 seconds on the phone. I think that kinda beats having 12 missed calls on your mobile but hey, that's just me.

I don't understand the victim complex so many of you have. Is it REALLY that hard to speak to another human being or does it make you feel special to whine on the  internet about things of absolutely no consequence that nobody cares about?

WAH WAH WAH someone called my telephone, welp, time to revert to my teenage years whilst being a complete prick! Are all of you 13 years old? Is that the issue here?

Personally I'm glad you guys are getting bombarded with calls and are getting red-faced with anger over it. I hope the calls never end for some of you!

I have had several calls from this number, and they do not stay on the line long enough to have any interaction with. If it was a call from a call centre or something I wouldn't be as annoyed, but being its more like a prank call it sucks.

Maybe we can give them your number if we could find out who they were so you can experience the dramas

BMS Telecorp recently changed their number. Its now 03 8851 2200. When I asked them how they got the number of my 13 year old daughter they told me Energy Australia gave it to them. I rang Energy Australia and they say that they did not give the number to BMS so the tele marketing company lied to me. Surprise surprise. guess I'll go back to BMS and seek further information.

Got a call from this number yesterday (12/01/10) but i never answer interstate calls

reiceived a lot of calls from this number, but it hangs up each time. doubt it is some kind of illegal number with the purpose to cheat your money: cheat you call back so they can charge you.

Got a missed call from this number. It rang twice and I didn't even get the chance to answer it. When I rang back it just rang out. Hopefully I'll catch them next time.

I confirmed the telephone number 0388512338 is one of BMS Telecorp's numbers they are in High St Kew, Vic. They call and then hang up when you pick up the phone. Telecorps landline is in the Business white pages. They are a nuisance caller. Hope this helps.

Have had 2 calls from the number at the same time two days in a row. I've called back but no answer! Very odd.

i really must say - thanks to everybody who has posted a comment on this forum. i just jumped on the computer to 'google' this number - 03) 8851 2338, who hung up on me as soon as i answered about 15mins ago (15/03/2010). now i dont have to waste my time and money calling back a nusiance caller.

so, justin you pathetic individual, get your issues sorted and REALISE that this is a forum which actually helps people out.

hey guys, i was trying to track the number from which i got a missed call from. but i was amazed to see so many people wasting a lot of time and writing these stuffs down. wht a waste!!!!!
if thats a call from some telemarketer, why dont you litsen to them, if you are intrested, its good, if not just say thanks but no thanks and hang up. thts not gonna cost you anything. just 30 seconds. instead of taking so much pain to wite down so many complaints. wanna go legal??? do that and waste a few days on that. so its upto you guys.... spend 30 seconds to say "not intrested" or wasting [***] 3 minutes to write a long msg before googling the number wht you recieved a missed call or a blank call from.
now i have wasted [***] 30 mins of mine time reading your comments and writing this down. hope this helps. stop complaining U LOOSERS!!!!!

I answered a call from this number today, and it was AAPT trying to offer me a better deal than what I already have with them. I've missed the call on many occasions and it's pissed me off  but today it was a legitimate marketing call.. if that makes sense :)

got a missed call from this number, called back and got a recorded message about some BMS company. I guess the # is jusst making $ out of calls recieved

This is just another example of an outbound marketing company using cheap equipment to run their outbound campaigns!

Companies like BMS use what is known as an "outbound dialler" to run these marketing campaigns and they are also meant to flush their database against the do not call register, however there are a lot of cheaper, low quality diallers out there that are inaccurate and regularly incorrectly classify the call (eg; when it hangs up on you it thinks your an answering machine).

Unfortunatley BMS wouldnt realise that their dialler is crap, they would just think they are hitting a lot of VM/answering machines so the best way to stop these annoying calls is to call them and let them know you are getting these calls and they just keep hanging up....then maybe they will look at fixing the issue

So I called 03 8851 2200 and spoke with a human from BMS  a call center for multiple phone companies, and had my name removed.  in my case it was AAPT phone/internet/mobile providers.

had a few (unanswered).. this time rang them back and got a message saying you have reached ?BMS (who are they we wonder) and we may try you again in a few days...    BORING!

Just got a hangup message on my mobile from these bozos, and so I suppose that their 'game' is getting me to make more phone calls.

Just re-checked that all my numbers are on the DNC register.

they said they were from aapt - i'm sure they're not
