Starting to get call from this number, anyone else recently?

I just got a call, answered it and they hanged up straight away. from what i have read i will be reporting this to the police if it gets out of hand.

I got this call today and my mother answered, they won't tell my mother what it was but it was a survey from Commonwealth Gov calling from Melbourne, so she asked them to call back an hour later. So I started to search for this number on this website, initally I was freaked out by the comments of others saying this was a scam etc. As soon as reading all of the comments, I got a call from them, so I answered and they wanted to ask some questions about my visit to Centrelink and the ratings I give to centrelink. There were about 7-10 questions in which I had to rate Centrelink either very good, good, fair, poor or very poor. I didn't need to give out any personal information about myself at all, so I think this call is legit to me.

This number (0388623400) has called a few times over the past few days. I haven't answered because they always call when I'm out of the room and voicemail gets it. No messages left. If they're claiming to be from Centrelink (as one of you was told) then I strongly suspect fraud - one of the calls here was the middle of the weekend. Might start my old "can't take a hint survey group" response - lift handset and accidentally drop it.

Am on Do Not Call list, but as mentioned, survey callers and charities are excempt. Told them many times that I'm not interested, they call back the next day until I start getting clumsy with the handset ;)

Had a call tonight at 8:22pm on this number.  I didn't answer, and no voicemail was left.  Was very interested to find this website when I searched on google however!

DB Marketing  calling on behalf of "Australia's leading banks"      doing a survey on business banking.   SPAM.

hi i got the same call and asked them if they new my id number and they said no and i told him i tid not belive him

Got a call from a Clare saying she was doing a survey, but when I said I do not do surveys she realised she had rung a work number and she said she only calls residential numbers then the rude [***] just hung up!!!!

These morons are so desperate they now ring on Sundays.

I also got a call from that number and said its from DDN survey and gave me her name as Katherin lots of bu sh As I am on do not call and silent number

Got missed call from this number i called back after hours went to message bank message said consultaant with contact in office hours about Nab survey .

If you read the legislation in regards to the do not call register  market researchers are still allowed to call numbers that are on this list it's just telemarketers who are not allowed to call the numbers.

Got a missed call from this number and googled it and read all your comments - guess I won't be returning their call - thanks for posting the comments guys.

Received at call tonight at 8.11pm asking if they could survey me on "tv ratings and if I have Foxtel,if so what do I rate them etc etc......

I got a few calls from this number in 1 day. I couldn't understand them properly as I was getting poor reception. But I could only make out that they said they were from D something services.

started getting calls from this number about a week ago and i havent picked because i thought it was a scam. they call almost everyday and it is getting very frustrating

Called from this number twice over two days, calls between 7pm and 7:35pm.

They wanted to do a survey about the White Pages on behalf of Sensis.

They had called my mobile number and told me my name when I asked who they were calling.

I called back to find out how they got my name and number, and was told that Sensis had provided them with my details. The survey details are:

- Project number R347W.
- Survey for people who have opted out of receiving either yellow or
 white pages.

I asked who I could talk to at Sensis about this and was told the survey was commissioned by:

- Sensis Research director: Rebecca Bricknall
- Sensis Research project managers: Fiona Purcell, Marcela Denis
who I could reach by calling 1-800-063-989 during business hours.

They are a private consultancy, dbmcons.com.au, contracted to do surveys etc.  They were very courteous and helpful as I was trying to track down how I got into their system.
