Hi guys, after getting missed calls from this number for the past week.  I finally managed to answer it before the auto-dialer hung up.  I sounded very enthusiastic for the service and asked lots of questions.

Their opening line is.  Hi, did you know you are paying full rates for your Telstra business line - we can save you over 40% because you have an ABN - would you like to find out how.

Yes (knowing full well that I do not have any Telstra services and run my business through SIP numbers)

Cutting to the chase, the deal they offer is $74.95 per month incl unlimited local calls and 30c per min mobile calls, excl internet.  Doesn't sound that competitive.

When I kept asking questions they just hung up - after about 5min they must have realised that I was wasting their time.

Another company that he owns is http://www.spirit.com.au/ phone 1300 007 001 so call this number as well as Telko on 1300 00 77 03 to waste their time.

I also have been receiving calls from this number and when I call back it just rings out.  A mystery....

Just got a call from this number, a young Australian girl.

Informing me as I was paying retail rates on the telstra network and have an ABN I qualify for their wholesale rates.

Anytime she mentioned who she was calling from she referred to being a wholesale department on the telstra network.

When pushed about where she got my information from she explained that it was from telstra because her company was a wholesale department on the telstra network. I swear she referred to them as a wholesale division but when pushed on that she explained that she wouldn't have used the term division as she was reading from a script that used the term department.

When I complained that the script was misleading and was alluding to her working for a telstra department she disagreed, so I asked which company she worked for she gave me the name Touchtel, I asked for a contact number and she refused.

Touchtel have a website, you can google them.

But going from other peoples experiences I would say that this call came from a telemarketing company contracted this week by Touchtel.

Don't answer.

Good day all.

Just got another call from them - this time going by the name Touch Tel.  Managed to keep the person on the line explaining it all to me for about 15 minutes while I carried on getting my work done, and then got passed onto her boss as she could not answer one of my questions: what happens to the existing lease on my landline?

So kept the boss on the line for another 10-15mins before pushing it too far and them hanging up on me.

She said that Time Telecom was a subsidiary but did not know who Telko was - even though the call came from the same number...

Someone rang me from this number yesterday as soon as I said my name and company they hung up.  Can't return the call.

i just got a call from this number but didnt get a lot of time to answer called them back it rang out i wonder who they are..

Got a call from this number a couple of times now, after I answered the phoe they hung up. Not very nice and annoying.

going by the name of TouchTel. Trying to say they are a Telstra Wholesaler. Trying to scam customers for $74.95 per month.

Dennis rang to speak about our Telstra account.  Said we don't use Telstra and he hung up.  Wrote down his number as it appears on my computer.  Googled the number and found out a bit more about them.

I used to work for the company. Its a telecommunications place at the moment they are selling Touchtel product business plan $74.95/m.

Well I'm glad i found this site. Just got my first call from them. I answered and this guy syas. hi... then within 3 seconds says bye and hangs up!

We added them to our block phone numbers list.

I just called this company and spoke with a Jerry who advised it is not how they operate- I suggest if you are getting repetitive calls from this number , call them and ask them to put your number on a do not call list. I gave him the details of this site to have a look and see how much trouble they are causing everyone, he seemed quite surprised and I told him to have a chat to his workers and cease this behaviour. It is very irritating.

I receive about 4 phone calls a day from this lot, claiming to be the sole service provider for Telstra. Starts off with 'we are not trying to sell you anything, but you can save money on your service'. Been asked to be removed from the call list, been told that it is not possible, ask to speak to a supervisor and the caller hangs up.

The most creative that I have had from this number is telling me that my company owes Telstra around $300.00 or so on our corporate phone lines, and if I do not pay by credit card immediately, they will take me to court. 3 months later, I am still waiting for a copy of the phone bill to turn up that I allegedly 'owe' money on. Backfired though, my company uses a VOIP system as it allows us to run remote offices off the same call system.... and it is not through Telstra.

Thank you to everyone who went to the trouble of detailing who owns this. As a managing director, I am sure I can approach their managing director and have this sorted rather quickly :).
