    Got called from this number and saying they are not telemarketer and in the end offered me a telephone solution. I just wasted 2 mins of my life for this crap

    Got a call from this number asking about the business owner's ABN?
    When asked if they were from the Australian Tax Office (why else would
    someone be asking about an ABN?) the caller (an indian woman) replied no.

    When asked to leave a contact number for the business owner to get back to them
    she declined and quickly got off the phone.

    Don't know who that was. Beware!

    Just had a call from a "Harrison" from Teligent, the number was 0398265554. He told me he was the senior account exec. I asked for the website, which he directed me to www.teligent.com.au. I told him I would review it and get back to them if we were interested. He insisted we go through the accounts, and clear up any questions there and then. I told him to provide me with his contact details or I would end the call. So I ended the call. I then informed our reception to not put them through. Our receptionist advised me that he claims to be from Telstra. Disappointing to see that these types of businesses can operate like that.

    i am 20yrs old, and i've been working for a telecom company, for a month.
    You know that i just cant officially take the company's name but you guys are smart enough, i hope you've guessed the name too.
    It is my first job for an employement, i just wanted to do a job for an experiance, but this is shoking, and i really hate it like anything, basically these calls to you people is made from India, but i dont know if the company has got it callers in how many country's, i dont think they might have got because the owner does not seems to be rich enough, i feel so sad for Australian citizens that how annoying it is for you guys to handle and answer our calls, my dad always said that we should love our work, but unfortunately i dont and i'm so ashamed of it, i dont know how good is the quality of service of my company in Australia is, so that i can actually refer you guys to go for it or not but i do know that they are very rude and they just pay Rupees 8,000/- thats almost like $150 as a salary to us for a month, that even constantly working for more than 9hrs including a break for just 15+5 mins from monday to saturday,its so sad and true that most of the people in my office is between the age of 20 to 27 and they are the stupidly growing youth of india, who are waisting their life, time and talent here, they must change their profile and let these kind of companys drown to its end for not having anyone to serve them and work for them, while in training i was trained to convince the customer to take the plan and save his money for the business number, i thought it'd be easy as it made sence to save someones money but when i joined this job for the first day of my dailing i was surprised by the reaction of the bussiness people in Australia, most of them just hunged up saying No, Not interested, Not available, i came back home and searched about the number of companys rather than Telstra, most of the componys are trying to help an ausi with an ABN, what the heck, why are they running after the same thing? you should also know that here the telemarketing job is like cattle industry
    1- they dont let you bring your mobile inside the office premises
    2- if you ask for a leave they deduct $6 per absent from your salary, and a salary which is only $150
    3- so rude to the employees
    4- we have to wake up in 3am in the morning to get ready so that we can take our cab pick-up to office before 5am
    5- bcz AU time is 4 and half hrs forward than india, so suppose we start dialing here from 5:30am in india its 10:30 in AU
    6- they dont want to miss their chance even on saturdays for a sale

    i being a human and for the sake of it i'm doing my bit to save and explore humanity, which is i am not going to annoy any other Australian citizen for 9hrs and miss that part of my life as well for just annoying every person i get on the call, in short i am gonna drop this job after i get my 1st salary, and i will start working with my dad and help him with our bussiness.

    claire i guess you might have heard it wrong and it happens with the dialers for many time that the other person on ph. hears it as inteligent Australia, but its only teligent

    Got a call from Teligent AU back in April 2012 about cheap calls, etc. Sounded interesting to me, but when I did my research about the company and their offer and did my own calculations, they were expensive as compared to our current provider. Then I googled reviews about the company and found this site. A few months later got another call, told them we weren't interested and asked them to stop calling us. Then this morning 19 Sept 2012, got another call. Same opening line "Can I speak to the owner of the business?" When I asked what it was in relation to, he said it was about our phone line then hung up. F***ing rude!!!

    I guess you are just explaining your failure rather than accepting the fact that bcoz of these call centers lot of people are feeding their family. i am sure u know it very well that this was not within your reach and i understand your frustration.. All the best for whatever u do in your life but i am 1000% sure u will struggle over there if not succeed, in terms of your salary u should raise your voice before joining the company.. u obviously cannot question about your salary when you yourself have agreed to work on that amount.

    Do not get involved with these telemarketers.  They are scumbag Telco Switchers and scammers. They do not provide the service they claim. Get you in by a lower price. Impossible to speak to customer service. ASDL speeds practically useless.  They ignore your complaints.  Phone service poor. They will ignore your complaints.  BE WARNED THEY WILL ONLY RIP YOU OFF....... For example I could not even get something simple like email server settings off them before Christmas campaign ... They just  ignored me.  I switched back to my provider.  They are no name [***] who only want your account and then they dump you.

    Well, they are obviously getting better at it. 'Rick Lee' spent a fair whack of time telling me that he was from telstra, had all of our business details available (I was testing him to see how much he knew, he had it all), managed to know the owners name, abn, work address, emails, etc. To his credit he was very prepared.

    Then he transferred me to his boss, who informed me I was nearly complete transferring "my" telephone service provider (a business line, at which I am but a humble pleb) to Teligent Australia. When I pointed out that this was the first I had been made aware I was changing a phone account that wasnt mine, there was a four second silence while he tried to figure out what to say.

    And proceeded to tell me how their service was exactly as good as Telstra's.

    Me: 'then why would i need to change service providers?'
    Chap: 'because we are cheaper, you run a business, its all about making and saving dollars..."
    Me: 'do you know how much money i spend with Telstra?'
    Chap: 'no, but..'
    Me: 'so how can you say with certainty that you are cheaper than Telstra?'
    Chap: 'but we are cheaper than telstra.'

    Me: 1, Teligent: 0.

    Better luck next time, Teligent Australia...

I got involved into HMI and would be doing rock climbing for more than 1000ft a day. . I bet u wont find anyone in your company living life as me. .
