I recieved an E-mail from a company calling themselves 'EPS SHIPMENTS'saying they had tried to deliver a parcel and for me to call them back to arrange a date. I was expecting a delivery from work so i called them back and when the foreign sounding lady told me to hold i asked her to call me back and she said she couldn't so i told her i'd be home the day after then i hung up as something just didn't feel right. The e-mail was from 'mark [markantony376@yahoo.co.uk]'.

Received an email notification of a missed parcel delivery.  Quoted package reference 71654699. Called given number (07030)808311. Answered by unconvincing operator on very poor line.  Could be from Philippines?
Asked who company were, and where in UK they were.  She said London.  Asked operator for full business name and address company reference number as well as official London number.  She put me on hold..........

This is just a premium rate line scam and you should ignore the emails or calls!!  Get it blocked by your email filter.

I received a notification by email from a mark  Antony . Unconvincing female of Asian decent told me to wait I hung up after a minute. Definate scam

Just happened to me. Definitely a scam!

Just received the same message, added to block list, didn't call back, looked at this website - thank goodness :)

We had a email from markantony376@yahoo.co.uk requesting us to call 07030808711 to arrange re-delivery of a package they tried to deliver and for us to quote a reference number, they kept me on the phone for five minutes so I hung up, tried to ring again to tell them I was not happy being kept on the phone and they hung up on me. when I tried to ring the number again it was not recognised from a land line or a mobile. I will be taking this matter further

I received this scam, not really knowing whether I should call or not.  Glad that I didn't and that people are reporting it.  Life's expensive enough without someone taking advantage like this!

Thanks goodness I did a search on this - got exactly the same email today.

Seems like the number is a 'personal' number which can be re-routed anywhere in the world!

Received an email from Mark Antony (that should have set off alarm bells)  to say they had tried to deliver an EPS delivery without success and I should call the above number to re-arrange.  I spoke to some silly woman who kept asking my address. I said they must already have my address and quoted a reference number I was given.  She asked me to hold on so thought best to hang up.

Is this a scam? Email claiming I must call this number to organise a package delivery.

If you read the posts prior to yours, you will see that yes, this is a scam.

I copied and pasted the email I received today,
I stupidly called the number as I run a business... but when the guy told me to hold whilst he 'searched for my package' and that he may be some time I got nervous and hung up..... I'm interested how much this short call will cost me now; I'll look at me next bill and let you know.....!

It isn't the same number but only a couple of digits differ (07030808712)- it is the same company though - EPS Shipping

Also received the email below. If you do a search on the number used, they are also advertising lots of cleaner, driver, waitress jobs on Gumtree and using the premium rate number.

i had emails the same saying a parcel was tried to be delivered  i spent ages talking to some foreign guy who could not hear me on the phone telling me there was something wrong with my phone as he couldnt hear me  it seems to be a scam
