Well, as I said, it's worked for me.  I've had no calls at all since about August and this happened within a day and a half of e-mailing them and after having registered at the government site. Given that I was receiving half a dozen or more calls a day, even at weekends, that's startling progress.  I still can't work out how they got my mobile number, as I don't fill in those 'free entry' things at shopping centres.  There must be a fair bit of data sharing going on between companies.  So much for privacy considerations!

Recieved a call from this number. I think this could be some kind of fraud. Been getting calls from this number periodically. Made a mistake of answering one call and they seem yto have my details. How can we report this to the authorities???

So Roger...in the email do you give your phone number you want them to stop calling??

I received my first call today and just don't know if I should send the email and confirm my number with them AND give them my email address?????

    Hello L,

I strongly recommend that you first register with the govt site (see earlier posts of mine and others for details), then e-mail the pests.  They already have your number and know it's a valid one.  Use a Hotmail or Gmail (heaps better than Hotmail!) a/c if you have one.  I've not been bothered at all since August and I doubt whether they'd start e-mailing you (I received no reply, but the calls stopped in two days), as Australia has literally the strictest anti-spamming laws in the world; a 'gentleman' in Perth is up for really quite enormous fines for his repeated mass spamming and carrying on after having been warned. Very silly!

    Cheers, Roger

I should have said that to identify who's complaining, you'd better give your number, which of course they already know is a valid one, so there's no point in trying to keep it to yourself.  If the problem continues or they start spamming you (unlikely), get the government dogs onto them.  Have fun!

Had another call today. Have seen the number on my mobile numerous times before, over the past 12 months, and just got hang ups. Missed the call today - and never any messages. Glad I looked the number up on here! Will call the 1800 number for sure and have my number removed from their list.

Instead of calling the 1800 number, I thought I'd see if I got a hold of someone by calling the actual number. I got a message saying all their operators were busy filling free reward offers for customers or some such bull and it asked to leave a message. I simply said I wanted my mobile number xxx removed. Did not give my name. Don't know where they got my number, but they may have my name anyway??? I am not listed in the phone book...

have been called by this number about a dozen times in the last week. i've answered it a few times but no-one on other end of the line. i've missed all the other calls and they don't leave a message. i figure if it's really important then they'll eventually either speak or leave a message. all a bit annoying really

I think we should all band together and press 'reject' as soon as we receive a call from this number.  What seems to happen is that they call 3-4 times and then hang up before getting to the answering machine (so they aren't charged for the call).  If we all reject there calls and send the call to our answering machine they will be charged!!  Payback time.

I've also started receiving calls from this number. I don't answer and no message is ever left - they are calling daily and sometimes more than once. It's really annoying!

I have been getting calls from them for a long time, I'm thinking the best thing to do is to give them some of their own medicine and spam their email.  simply forward all of your spam to: customerservices@wyndhamvrap.com

How do I stop or Block this number. When I answer there is no one at the other end and it just hangs up after a few seconds.
