0700 771345 called. Muffled sounds on answering. They did not hang up.
Definitely a nuisance call. Is there anything I can do to stop these unwanted calls?

Answered call from this number on second ring, no one spoke and then got disconnected sound.
I am registered on the Do Not CALL .
Very annoying as they have rung several times and the same thing has happened.

Don't know why you register on the Unwelcome calls cause they still call.  Should be able to nominate numbers so this can stop.  Don't they reliase that the public don't have any spare money.

How many people out there are having the phone ring, pick it up, and there is nobody on the other end. Quite a few times with me, and then someone told me to *69 and it will tell me the phone number. I did this a few times and the same number kept coming up. 5512 7800. It is RACQ Careflight! I am totally annoyed to find out it was them. I used to contribute to this charity, but not any more. They have totally put me off. I thought someone was stalking me! I told them what I thought which is a real shame to do that to a charity. I said if they were prepared to phone people at home, they should have the decency to be on the other end to speak to you, not just leave you with silence and then get the hang up signal!.

You are all a bunch of disgusting imature [***]. I had a fee missed calls from this.number and.as the computer was on I googled it and it led.me here. After that I did the mature thing and rung them.back to see what they wanted. Yes it was fundraising and yes it's a charity. For Christ sake they save lives and all.of you whinge about a few missed calls or a phone call being disconnected. I asked the young guy I spoke to about why theres no one on the other end some times. They use an auto dialer. It would be almost impossible to not use one in this day and age. Their system is old and not the most sophisticated but a new one would cost hundred and hundreds of thousands. Is rather see that money put towards saving lives. Helicopters are not cheap to maintain.

Maybe think.about not being a pathetic lowlife next time you're called,  It's not hard to be polite. Charitys also are also exempt from the do not call register so maybe read what you're signing up for in future.

On Monday morning I will be contacting Careflight and organising something through my business, they are a very worthwhile charity.

Try reading the complaints.  Most times there is no-one there if you pick up!  So you can't be polite to these beggars.
Like others here, I used to donate to Care Flight.  That's probably why they keep calling.  Not any more after many, many irritating calls.

I keep getting calls frrom the above number.  They hang up as soon as I answer

I,ve had 5 calls, never been able to answer in time, or when I do no-one home. Have put this no on my blocked list, easy.

THE ANSWER TO WHY NOONE IS ON THE OTHER END SOMETIMES:
Like ALL fundraising centres, the phone system is an automatic dialling system.
It would be almost impossible to not use one in this day and age.
Certain tones get sent down phone lines when answered and the system terminates the call incorrectly.
We understand the frustration this causes.
The system is old and not the most sophisticated  - but a new one would cost hundred and hundreds of thousands.. I would rather see that money put towards SAVING LIVES! Wouldn't you?

Try calling 1300 CAREFLIGHT  (1300 227 335) rather than trying to re dial

My guess is that they are a cold caller for a charity. Charities do not have to comply with Do Not Call Register and the caller registers the times you answer most often and passes your number on to a charity with a time to call you to ask for money.

they kept ringing and ringing every day finally i got a bear for 69 but it cost over 80 for a money order then they kept ringing  and ringing saying they did not get  it ,,I finally found the money order and told them then they kept ringing and ringing and then they sent me other bear I did,t want it I have kids I don't have 80 for other bear so I sent it back ,then they sent me a letter from the debt collectors to paid for the bear I sent back .
