calls me & hangs up

according to the telephone company you should answer your phone in different languages. try greek or ukrainian. the caller may not understand you saying a simple hello in english.

STOP CALLING ME! how do i stop this number from ringing me? they let it go to message bank, so then im in for charges i shouldnt be, they can get stuffed!!!

Hi, I might be able to put your mind at ease a little with this one. I have had the same from this number, 07 55283687.The woman was definitely Australian & asked me if I knew about the tax benefits for education of school age children I gave them my email address & like you, later thought how stupid I was! The email went into my spam folder anyway & I didnt open it or click on any of the links contained in it, but did look them up on the net, They are called National Tutoring & are in QLD & NZ. They have an ABN, phone number 07 5532 6249, a P.O box address & I think they are in Southport QLD. You can look them up at www.nationaltutoring.com.au. They obviously have a call centre of some kind & thats why we dont get a reply on that famous number above. I have phoned the number on the net & spoken to a lady at national tutoring & advised her that none of us appreciate these calls & with all the scams out there it is not the way to get any business. She agreed they have a call centre that calls people, but does not know the number...I gave it to her. The more people that ring her, the better....Go to it!!! Look up www.nationaltutoring.com.au, they are a ligit business in Australia & NZ. They have a call centre on 07 55283687 & possibly other similar numbers,no one will answer if you ring this number back. Their direct number is 07 5532 6249. Ring them & ask to speak to the manager & tell them this is not the way to get business, it is most distressing, & you want it to stop!! Also let them know about all the blogs on that famous number & how we all think its another scam to get money. I have done this & I hope you will all do it too!!! Enjoy your day

I phoned the company today and asked if they had a call centre the ladies reply was if I could have your name and number I can take you off the list.

I said no, but i will give the number that is calling me on a regular basis so you can talk to the manager about this problem and if it is your number you should google it to see how many people you are pissing off.

I would urge anyone who reccieves a call from this number 07 5528 3687 to call them.

Its now December and I am starting to get these calls, same story, answer and hang up, I tried to call back and no answer or message bank. The prefix 075528 is actually close to my home, I think its Banora Point or over that way in NSW near the QLD border. I'd love to find them though.

This number has been calling me 4 days, im a night shift worker and it calls right in the middle of the day and hangs up, i hav called the tutoring company and left a rather nice msg of sorts as they are closed on weekends, which is quite funny cause i got a call from them at 10am on a saturday morning. if this continues i will just keep calling their land line and hanging up just 2 piss them off

I called National Tutoring directly on 07 5532 6249 and voiced my disgust in having been called at work then hung up on when I told the telemarketer I didn't have any kids that needed tutoring.  
They were pleasant and obliging when I asked them to remove my number from the system.
I did have to give them my full name and number but figure they already have that on their system anyway so have nothing to lose.

I would to advise to ring these guys and do the same.

I have been receiving calls from this number since november, everday at least one from it.
I call it back and its engaged or rings out.
It called me on Saturday and when I answered it it hung up.
I bet it is some kind of scam that they get $ from the calls being made to them.

It keeps calling me BUT i found out some info about this number this call came from the GOLD COAST QLD Australia!!!!!!!!!

got lots of calls from this number some times no one there or hang up but yesterday i answered and lady asked about school age children i told them no and she went away

I too have had constant calls from this number too and usually around the same time.  When i pick it up they just hang up .  When i call them back you get the engaged signal.

Dependign on where you live the phone number varies.

I am from ACT - I reported the previous number who was trying to 'renew my NRMA Roadside assist' wanted my credit card details when i asked for their ABN Number they hung up.

I reported this and it has been dealt with.

We too get annoying calls from this number that hangs up. We are also getting annoying calls on our landline (no caller ID), obviously an Indian telemarketer.

I answer. say hello. long pause of silence. I say hello again. long pause again then they hang up.

Another call today. hung up before answering machine kick in.
