I've been getting calls from this number and I can't answer it - it disconnects as soon as I try to answer it.
What can I do to stop it?

It's now a week later. Thursday again. Guess what? Another 2 calls...

I've had several calls from this number this week.  I guess that it is a call centre using an automatic dialer.  It calls half a dozen or more numbers at the same time, and the telemarketer speaks to the one that answers first.  Means they can get more contacts in a less amount of time!  Bloody annoying but not much one can do about it

Have had many calls from this number the past few weeks. This time someone actually answered. They are selling insulation, damn government grant, has increased the amount of bloody phone calls I get about insulation.

yep. i got a call from this at 4.42pm thursday 22-octonber 2009, same deal as e veryone else, can not call back , also its not the gold coast, i thiunk that 07 55 not 07 56

I got several calls from this number. Very annoyed me. Mine is tpg service so it means not only 3. What can we do to stop it?

if this is a terlemarketer they can't be getting many sales as there is no one there when answered.Been to Telstra as usual get the run around so i presume they either don't know or don't want to know. i get at least six in a row every day.

I so sick of this number calling. I have answered three times with no one on the other end. I have also missed four other calls from this number all in this last week!

I get heaps of these too, I just ignore them.

I had this number call me today and hang up. It led me to google it and I arrived here...
Insulation my ass. I think a conspiracy theory is in order. It is a government agency ringing. The call activates the camera inside our televisions and transmits for an interval.
I am a tv tech and there are parts inside the tv that dont belong. I have seen them. The stand by mode powers the camera.
Dont believe it, smash your tv and find out. Any model after 2004, except for European imports.

I missed a call from this number (in australia) on my mobile yesterday..
Never seen the number before so i googled it, and here i am.

Only missed 1 call, and hasn't rung back since.

been getting phone calls from this number for weeks no one answers then hangs up ring the number back its always engaged but today someone said ([***]) rang the number back but its again engaged what going on getting pretty pissed off now.

Just rang my mobile phone company and they can't do anything because it not happening every day it has to happen 5 times in a row. So if there is anybody that is getting this more often then me please ring you phone company and put in a complaint to get it stopped.

I have received calls from 07 5634 9400 a few times over the last week or two.  When I rang Telstra there were unable to tell me who the phone number belonged to.  I have tried to phone back several times from a landline rather than my mobile and it has been constantly engaged (I've been trying for the last hour on and off).

I got this call about the same time everyday then it stopped but it started again today 06/11/09 i wish they would get lost

Further to my comment on the 16th October.............. Home phone and mobile rang simultaneously - nothing on home phone, but caught the telemarketer on mobile.  They do have an automatic dialer, and Yep, as others have mentioned they are selling Insulation.   I told them we already have it, and asked them to de-list my number................. I will post again if I hear from them again.
