Number rings and leaves no message. Getting onto the 1800 number now to make sure I get off phone list

Have been getting calls from this number for like the last two weeks on and off, they don't leave a message and when i return the call there is no answer just an engaged tone.

Has rang me several times over the last week on my mobile as a missed call but when I ring back it is always engaged?????

They have called me over 10 times in the last two days, when i try to phone back the number is ALWAYS busy! dont they have anything better to do??

I've read over the last few pages - thanks guys... it turned out to be The Mater Foundation.  I had bought some tickets, so it seems that calling me to try to get me to buy MORE tickets is ok? Well it's NOT - asking me to give credit card details to someone over the phone who has called me? NO WAY - BIG security risk.
Anyway, I've call them on 1800 067 066 and they've removed me from their telemarketing list so fingers crossed I don't get any more calls.

I have been a VIP ticket purchaser with Mater Children's Hospital for a million years and receive auto tickets each month. But for months have been harrassed to buy other tickets. I usually just reject the call to my mobile but today I answered. Poor girl on the other end! I was given no. 1800 500 664 to call to have my no. removed.  I've done this and have been assured it will happen.  Fingers crossed!!

I got this number on my mobile 0756680854. I called back but it seemed that this tel is busy.

After a few days of missed calls from this number, I finally answered this morning and it turned out to be Mater Prize Home selling tickets for their current lottery.  After the caller took a breath from her long spiel trying to sell me tickets, I said "sorry I'm going to have to stop you there, as I have already purchased tickets for this current lottery.  I also wish to be removed from your calling register.  I'm happy to receive brochures still in the mail, just not telephone calls."

So, we'll see if that works!  If the calls continue I will also be calling 1800 067 066 to further remove myself.  It's a shame, as receiving all of these telemarketing calls makes me less inclined to want to purchase tickets from them and other charities in future, out of fear I'll end up on another calling list!

They have called me a few times - very annoying

If you don't have Caller ID then why are you in this strand for a particular number?

Who own's this number and why do they keep calling

I too have been receiving up to 4 missed calls every day from this number (and it's driving me crazy).  It definitely makes you think twice about giving any money to this charity (and I too have had the experience before of buying tickets for a draw only to have them call me twice more trying to get me to buy more tickets for the same draw!)

I've just called the 1800 number and had my name taken off the list - I will report back if I get any more calls.

Isn't anyone able to trace this person?  Surely that number is registered to someone.  I have a missed call every day on my home phone, or a message that is a hang up.

Have had several missed calls this week on my mobile from this number, last one at 2.53 pm today. Only get beeps when I try to return the call. I won't bother trying in future. I just Googled it on a hunch - and here it is. What are they up to? As to Qld charities- I am in regional Victoria.
