I have only had my mobile number for two weeks and received this weird message too- "I dailled your number at random. me name is jonathon. NO SWEARING. i have asperger its like autism a disability and i been crying abit. i need friends. How r u '
I find this really odd. Does anyone know why this is being sent?

i received a text from this number today (20/02/11) to my company mobile: "I dailled ur number at random. me name is jonathon. no swearing. i have asperger its like autism a disability and i been crying a bit. i need friends"

I got the same message tonight (28/2/11) from this random number "Jonathon". I am on O2 and have had the same number for a few years, but am very careful about who I give it out to. find the message a bit weird, especially the "randomness". But am also abit worried about what other info they have/can get if it is a scam.
I certainly won't be replying anyhow.  
Thank goodness for google. Glad I'm not the only one!!

recieved this message last night. deleted it straight away as very weary about people having my phone number-glad i googled it. am on orange. does anyone know whats happening with this? surely should have been dealt with considering its been going on for a few years!!

I got the exact same about five minutes ago.... i replied but they just text back sorry for texting you.... i left it at that... im on vodaphone

Also received message from 'jonathon' deleted as looks like some kind of scam.

Got this exact same message, twice back in Febuary and just there about 5 mins ago. What a weirdo! Havent reported it yet, but think I might tomorrow. I've got an iPhone with Vodafone.

Just had exact same message, I'm a vodafone business user. Ignore it, must be spam.

Douche just text me. Made the mistake of texting back. Seems to be a vodafone/07584 issue if the guy above me is to be believed.

Just got the 'Jonathon' message. Im on orange 07581. Seems like a scam anyone got any ideas on what or who it is?

How do we stop this happening..... Its freeking me out!

Why has this been going on since 2010? How do we get this stopped?

Exact same message sent to my phone today 16/02/2012.

Where/who did they get my number from????
