Same message to my phone but they had my daughters name not mine.
The callback number was 01228508153 remove WP

i keep getting same text saying can help pay off debts and get on feet .  reply number is 01228508179 . or remove  reply y8 . i have had this few times now after apply on line for a loan to which i not took. never had them before

recieved this message today at work!! why did this company or person send this text!!!

I got a txt frm this no in jan 8th thats me jst findin this site. got a txt frm the same no 2 days ago saying hi "my name you can borrow £500-£10000 now" call this no bla bla... It gets to me how & why they knw my name & mobile no as i never register my mobiles ever for lots of reasons so that puzzled me how they knew my name.....???

I have received this message quite a few times over the last few days, I got fed up with it and rang O2.  They told me to forward it to '7726' then they will investigate it along with ofcom to attempt to put a stop to it.  If you have an iPhone on O2 like me, you will need to ring them on 2302, as you can't forward text messages on the iPhone yet.

If you are on Vodafone you can forward the message to '87726'
If you are on Orange you can forward the message to '7726'

I haven't been able to find numbers for T-Mobile or 3.

If you still receive unwanted calls or messages you should phone the Office of the Information Commissioner on 01625 545 745.

had same txt, claim they pdh, whos that, i 2 just turned down by large card co. maybe they all work 2gether.

i got the same text so i called the number stated which is 01228 508170/2 and gave the guy a hard time.  He advised me that they are a Debt management company and they get all their numbers from a company called Leedx and gave me their number 08448714300.  I called this compnay and explained that i did not ask for this nor did i make any enquiry becuase my name was not philip! (the name on the text) she advised me people would make enquiries and put whatever name and number down and they forward it on to the people who send the texts (hope im making sense here) for them to call back.  She took my number off their database so i should not be recieving these texts again!

I got a text from this number its a very dodgy loans company based down in England. I work for T-Mobile so I have alot of experience with unwanted third party companies using mobiles to contact unsuspecting victims. The posts above are entirely correct, the company can be found at http://www.abacusfinance.co.uk/. If you contact them and complain they should permenantly remove you from their call lists. Its also worth reporting them to both your mobile provider and the Office of the Information Commissioner they will both be interested as there is an internal crackdown going on concerning this. They will be particularity interested as this company is using the Debt Line company name in the text(which is a government run debt,aid and advice agency) to mislead and promote a totally different service.
Be careful and stay clear.

This number belongs to Leadx, I company which sources and sells financial leads.
For any given campaign, this number appears to belong to whomever LeadX is refering txt message reponoses.

It may be a Debt management company one week, another a week later - or a loan company. It does not belong to Abacus Finance as stated in some of these posts.

i applied for a loan with a major finance comp and got turned down ..  now i receive calls at home and mobile plus texts all the time from various debt management companys..  i gave one caller a hard time and said theres no chance im discussing my finances with someone who calls me out the blue and i wanted my name took off there data base..  only for them to get even more companys to try me...lol   ....  be nasty to them all  one by one they will get the hint.

If you have had a message from this number the chances are you are on a database with a company called LeadX Digital Exchange and it is in relation to insurance or debt management.

I had calls from them after using insurance comparison website, in spite of ALWAYS ticking (or unticking!) to NOT receive SPAM (sorry, "A selection of offers which we think may be of.... blah blah blah") and being on the TPS list.

The number 07797802727 is owned by Jersey Telecom, they have confirmed this number is NOT assigned to any customer and therefore any replies sent to it will not be recieved (so their opt-out in the SMS does not work).

The message I received encouraged me to call an 01228 number (01228 508 169) this number is assigned to Cable & Wireless (Energis) who also dont seem to have any interest in this .. put me through to some nuisance calls people who kindly offered to have my mobile number added to a 'do not call' database - helpful, but not the point.

If you call that number and speak to someone as soon as you ask for information on who they are they hangup - potential fraud, but no-one seems to care at Cable & WIreless to stop them.
