I had the above caller trying to get me to send money for tickets for Odyssey Arena in
Belfast. He sent me his bank details. a/c 804635 01547186 Benjamin Bowman.
Its a Bank of Scotland sortcode.

DO NOT SEND MONEY by Online Bank Transfer or WESTERN UNION to anyone you DON'T KNOW. Paypal is a safe way to send money but you need to specify what it is for IN THE DESCRIPTION in case you have to make a claim. Check with paypal to confirm you have protection. Don't listen to anyone who says Paypal is not safe!!!
BUT ITS BEST TO MEET IN PERSON.
Remember suspect anyone who says they Can't wait for a day or who says they can't take a call at work to verify who they are. They will tell you they have an important job, eg. the Fraud Dept at a bank!!!
Tell them you have a friend who lives near them in the city that they say they are in!
Guess what they will say when you offer to meet.

I also had calls and text from this guy offering me tickets to frankie boyle and lady gaga. I thought to myself I dont really trust him when he said he worked for hallifax  bank of scotland and he couldnt accept paypal as payment it was only a bank transfer. when i said to him i would meet up with him instead he kept saying it wasnt possible as he was going on holiday. I also now have reported him to edinburgh police. When i text him back saying it was a just a dodgy scam all I got back from him was abuse. Whatever you do dont buy tickets from this guy

I got scammed from this man! He took 250 quid off me for t in the park tickets! Said he had a problem with paypal and we did a bank transfer. There must be a way to track him down!

BEWARE OF A CON MAN - USES PHONE NUMBER 07964543849, calls himself, Ian, Hugo to name a few and is Scotish. He is very active on here.

He sounds very genuine, but is not. I've reported him to the Police on 0131 311 3131, ref incident LB20100322-0134. If you are contacted by this idiot, please contact the Police as above and give them the details of what he is offering.

He will say his PAYPAL account is frozen and that he works in a bank - he will give you his bank details but everything else is false.

Just had the same guy try to con me for tickets. Said he workd for RBS and that I could collect the tickets from one of their offices after paying him.

Glad for websites like this but I would never transfer money like that anyway as scum like him are always looking for an opportunity.

I too have unfortunately had a repsonse from this person, to a Gumtree Ad that I had posted looking for Bring me the Horizon concert tickets. He claimed to be a John McVey working for the RBS Fraud Department. He said that he could arrange to have the tickets delivered by FEDEX through his work, and asked me to make an Instant Transfer for payment. Luckily, I suspected it may have been a scam so did'nt make the payment. Because I did'nt make the payment to him, I started to received threatning text's from him saying he would report me to the Police. I did try asking if I could call him, but he said that he could not accept calls at his work, yet he could manage to text me all day.

I have now informed Grampian Police and passed accross my details. If anyone has had a similar experience then they should contact them on 0845 600 5 700 quoting reference SC3227663. Hopefully the more people who report incidents like this, builds up a better case against people like him.

If you have been a victim of fraud involving Jack KERSHAW I would suggest that you report the matter to your local Police. They will conduct an initial investigation and obtain a statement from you if you have lost money as a result of the fraud.  If they find that the suspect lives in the South Essex area through the bank account details you were provided with then ask them to contact Essex Police on 0300 333 4444.  Benfleet CID are investigating this male.  If you have already reported the matter to Police locally and given a statement, please advise them the same.

I worked at a company that employed Jack Kershaw on a Friday and had fired him by the Monday after receiving references on him from previous employers explaining he was a liar and thief.  I know two other companies who have been directly affected by hsi crooked activities.
If everyone who has been scammed by him were to donate to me half the money they lost to him I'll gladly stick him in a hole in the ground for you...
But seriously, there needs to be a police report made by every individual who has lost out to him to their local police station regarding the man Jack Kershaw.

Jack Kershaw will be spending the whole amount of time in jail, i have just had contact from the police with regards to 250 he scammed me out of in April. I am meeting with a DC of Essex police next week to give me statement and they will be prosecuting him again.

I would love to meet Jack Kershaw when he gets out..  He did my wife out of £350..  and then after telling her his dad had died so the tickets would be delayed - no surprise they never came.

If anyone gets jack's new contacts details would be great to know them

Some of these messages regarding Jack Kershaw are beyond belief and are way over the mark. I lost £500 due to Mr Kershaws previous activities and whilst I'm not happy about it and wouldnt choose to do business with him again the matter has been dealt with by a Crown Court. This individual has been processed and sentenced to prison.That was his due punishment.I wont get my money back and sad though it is neither will the other people who lost money. I know people are angry at having lost out - me too - I was foolish to be duped and it wont happen again BUT as for people posting messages on here saying they will post details of his GIRLFRIEND on here - an ENTIRELY INNOCENT PARTY -  well people have lost sight of reality. What did that lady ever do to you? She certainly didnt defraud me - and to persecute her would be totally out of order.

Is his girlfriend that innocent when a lot of the money was paid into her bank account.

I have spoken to a number of people defrauded by J Kershaw and a couple of the stories are heartbreaking ie one where someone wanted to bring his dad to rugby before he passed away - unfortunately he never did get to the rugby as his son had promissed him.

So me like most others have no sympathy for Mr Kershaw

Ian, youve made a big mistake there. I know his current girlfriend and she has not been the recipient of one single penny of Mr Kershaws activities. I can only assume that you are referring to a previous partner of his. His current partner is respectable and has had no part in his activities let alone receive any monies. The partner he is now with has only been with him since the time he has been in prison and been released so be very careful not to either slander or offer defamatory statements about the wrong person. So yes, she is entirely innocent. You may choose to question her taste in men....but she is entirely innocent of any wrongdoing in relation to your message.

As for Mr Kershaw, no, I have no sympathy for him, why would I. He's a grown man and made his own choices and has to be accountable for those. BUT slandering or hurting innocent parties....no, there's no honour in that.
