this number telephoned this evening saying they were from claim direct

called 2day about compensation for loans want 2 kno if its genuine???

ive jst checked it all out is legit is claims group direct, www.claimsgroupdirect.com, they get ur info when you apply for stuff i.e. loans etc but seem like a relli useful company

anyone know how to stop them from calling you?

i had a call from a woman, claiming to be from claims group direct, asking if i would like to claim back unsold ppi, i did ,and have sent of  my details...but at present time not heard anything this was 4 mths ago.have i been scamed....

I received several calls from claims group direct. They are very persistant. I've received the claim form, not yet posted it back. So far in the 2 wks of having the form, they have called me twice a day three times a week. Why are they so desperate. Is it that they want you to sign the form for them claim for you and then to say you are not entitled to anything, only for them to pocket the refund. Seems a bit iffy to me, anyone else feel the same?

My partner first recieved a phone call from claims direct on his mobile. Since then i have had about four phone calls. I feel unsure about this group are they legal? but at the same time under pressure to make a decission. My gut instinct is to say NO!

Called about reclaiming insurance on loans.  Ask if I had taken the ppi on any loans in the last 6 years.  i said no and the guy said thanks for my time and politely went.

Yes PPI people, they seemed very polite called me at home & on my mobile

Anyone who has suffered at the hands of a financial institution can seek redress through the Financial Ombudsman Service. This is free and easy to use and does not prejudice your right to take legal action. Making a complaint is therefore a no risk strategy for the consumer.
No one should ever need to use a claims company; the charges they deduct off any compensation they recover are truly excessive - 30% and above. Why, if you have been ripped off by your insurance company, would you then want to be ripped off by a claims company too? Pigeons learn faster.

i had about 5 missed calls from this number and when they rung again just now i answered. (there was some background noise aswell)
a woman on the line asked "is andrew there?"
i said "no" (because there wasn't)
then she asked "do you know when he'll be there?"
i said that there was no andrew, and she said "ok, have i got the wrong number then?"
i said yes, and then she said "while you're on the phone can i ask you a quick question?"
i said no, and then she hung up.

I Had Call from claims group direct on 17th June 2009 about reclaiming insurance on loans, I asked them for there reg No: and then went to Ministry of Justice Site and found that they were a legal company by putting in the Reg No:

Hi just  had a call from these people and my instincts are telling me to stay away from them. They asked me if i had any loans with ppi and that i can claim money back.  But when they asked for a credit card or debit card number my shield went up. Then to ask for £150 up front for admin and they take 33% of your funds, well it just screams DOGGY to me. Just looked at money saving expert web site for Martin Lewis and found reclaiming templates for all sorts including PPI reclaiming.  CHECK IT OUT HE'S THE ONLY ONE I TRUST WITH MY MONEY.

I had a call from this company today, i spoke to a very helpful young man who then put me through to his "manager" after i'd said that i could be interested in letting them reclaim my mis-sold PPI.  He seemed very knowledgable and convincing then added in at the end of the coversation about the £175.00 they would need so they could start the claim, then because i refused to give my credit/debit card details everything changed! He became very pushy and desperate. I explained that i didnt understand what the rush was because he wanted to take my card details even though i hadnt fully decided to go with them or not, i said i would think about it and call them back. He was totally unproffessional and explained that if i didnt give my details today they would be too busy to take my details another time! Dont touch them with a barge pole!  I get the feeling they would take your £175.00 then you would never hear from them again!!!

I am receiving up to 4 calls a day from these muppets despite telling them on more one occasion to take my number off their database.

How do I get them to stop harassing me?

Hi people this company is a fraud they are only interested in you if you have a credit/debit card.

I've given them my details there very insist about my card details, i gave them my credit card number which was maxed out so they couldnt take anything out even though they said no money would be taken out til they speak 2 their lawyers about the claim.  I've not heard from themsince 4 weeks had 2 change my card details.

This number has phoned me almost on a weekly basis- my boyfriend answered the first time and the caller asked 'Is this Melissa?' etc. when we knew it wasn't a mobile number. Eventually he went, 'Ah well the reaon I'm calling is yadda yadda yadda' and my bf just said 'not interested' and hung up. They tried again a couple of times and since them I've put them on my reject list.

I've only been getting these calls since I signed up with Barclays bank. I'm annoyed that they've handed my mobile number to other companies w/o my consent.
