Caller says they were Barclay card, but I wasn't sure

This is not listed on the Barclay website, so don't think its Barclays

I get repeated calls on my home phone followed by my mobile. They claim to be calling from Barclaycard, but when I called Barclaycard on their number they said that they had not called me. They always ask for my date of birth.

Actually, this IS Barclaycard - debt collection.  My payment failed recently - without me realising.  This number rang me at 08:15 - I didn't answer - but then discovered the rejected payment and called them back.  They were actually very nice about it and waived my late payment charges!  But I have made every other payment for the last 40 years :)

Are you sure this is debt collection?  They keep phoning my number without leaving a message.  When I tried calling back it gave another number which was Barclaycard.  They told me that there was no record on their file of someone phoning me so it might well be a scam.  Furthermore someone phoned me today - stated my name and when I responded yes, they put the phone down.  Seems like a scam to me.

I've had many calls to my mobile claiming to be from Barclay card but when I called Barclay card they confirmed that they have not tried calling me so it's definitely a SKAM

This is a scam and not barclaycard or barclays because if they were they would not hang up when I answer

Every time i answer to this no the phone goes down straight away!  Barclays would'nt call you and then put the phone down!! I smell SCAM

This is Barclay card chasing late repayments.... people who say that it is a scam because when they ring barclaycard and they say they haven't tried to ring... this is an independent call centre calling on behalf of barclaycard. it is not a scam they are just based in a call centre.

Missed a call from this number today and when I checked said it was Barclaycard. Rang Barclaycard who told me that my account is perfect and they believe it to be a fraudulent call.

I received a call today and coincidentally, I was in online banking paying my bill (late, because I had forgotten).  About a minute later, this number called my mobile and they hung up as soon as I answered.  If it is a scam, I guess it is is to get you to pay the minimum over the phone, but I can't figure how they have both my landline and mobile numbers, as I don't give my mobile number out to businesses.

I am afraid that it is not Barclays. They claim to be Barclays but after a few questions they failed to substantiate their claims. I have also received text messages from them claiming my Barclaycard monthly DD payment is late and that I should go to xyz to pay. To me, it is clearly a scam. I made several attempts to block it but it keeps coming back.

I'm not even with Barclays so why would they be calling me!?! They call almost every day. Not gonna bother answering.

This definitely a number from Barclaycard debt recovery team. How I know? I phoned the number and asked!!!! Something EVERYONE can do!!!!!

Claim to be Barclaycard, call 6 to 8 times daily. Don't even have Barclaycard!!!

Said they were from Barclay card asked for my date of birth. I didn't give it. They refuse to tell me why they are calling. They tell me to call Barclay card.
