Purport to be Virgin Media, but having read other similar sites, seemsvery  doubtful.

i ANSWERED THE CALL AND SHORTLY AFTER THE LINE WENT DEAD.

We’re with VM but I didn’t want to be bothered with this call even if it’s legit.

Called land line and mobile asking to confirm address and postcode before proceeding with call about upgrade to broadband- when I questioned why they don’t just do the upgrade, why they need to speak to me and why if they’ve called me do they need me to confirm my details she swiftly terminated call! Conclusion- asshats!!

Had this number phone me at16.30 today. Line was crackly so she hung up. Just got off the phone to virgin media and it is a customer service team member that tried to call about a upgrade to my internet. I asked if they could block the number from ringing me again. And was told that it was now on my account not to be called by sales again. time will tell...…

Say they are from Virgin media - I dont think they are - trying to sell some rubbish anti virus. My advice - block the number

calls 2-3 times a day every day for the last few weeks.!

Rang my mobile and went to voicemail straight away with no message left. I have mr number on this phone and it identifies it as potential fraud. Other users report it as a ppi scam and one said complained to Virgin Media, as they said that's who they were, and they said the number is not used by them.

This number has been calling daily for the last few days, usually about the same time each evening. I've not answered it. I suggest others do the same

5 recent calls to my mobile, which is normally switched off. call i answered was outside in windy conditions and could not hear very well. Some waffle about improving wifi. Told her i do not use it, and go away. Nothing since

Silent call on my mobile phone 3 days running. Who is it?

Don't care who they say they are - I never give info to an incoming call - period.   And legit companies like Virgin should stop the practice of asking for this info immediately - it creates a climate where people are more likely to give out info because the caller 'seemed legit'.

They called yesterday saying they were from Virgin Media - I think - it was a bad line. She hung up when she hesitated asking for Mr. ... They called back this morning, but I didn't answer.

Several calls from this number to my mobile. I never answer unknown numbers.Now blocked

I answered the call after 2 rings, silent phone call, I eventually hung up.

Telephone numbers can be spoofed (according to some people) as well as texts, so be wise.
An incoming call is always suspicious to me, especially when the start asking for personal details!.
So be wise little owls.
