I've also been getting numerous calls from this number on my mobile and the ONE time I picked up, it was a silent call.  

Having read the comments on here, I have now e-mailed Hotel Chocolat customer services as I, too, ordered from them about a year ago. I was shocked to see CeeBee's comment on 9th October on here as here we are, a month later, and the nuisance calls are still happening.

I have also put the number on my mobile's "reject list" so hopefully the calls will now be automatically rejected.

My phone is for my use not theirs. How do I prevent them from calling me again? I never answer calls I'm not expecting, just as I don't allow strangers uninvited into my home.

I have been pestered by calls from this number throughout today. I have had four in all so far. There is an answer phone on my phone but they never leave a message. If they did I might call them back - but as I don't know who they represent or why they are calling I just ignoire the calls. They are wasting their and my time. I have reported them to OfCom and I suggest everyone else does the same.

We've logged several calls from this number on our home phone (which is ex-directory and registered with TPS) over the last 3 days (we can't answer as we're both at work all day) and neither my wife nor I have had any dealings with Hotel Chocolat so we've no idea why they're calling us.

I have reported to Ofcom as above, these companies need to be stopped!

Oh what a shame. I used to be a fan of Hotel Chocolat but now no longer, I closed my account last week. Mind you, I couldn't do  that on the internet - though I could do everything else. They force you to call their customer services who then try to pursuade you to stay. That made me really mad!

Such a shame. A nice company with a great product making enemies of customers past and present. Just plain stupid really. Anyway,  they get through to my office answerphone and that costs them - at least they'll never get through to me!

Caller does not say anything

Exactly the same. I ordered one christmas present from Hotel Chocolat and they've been bothering me daily ever since. I emailed them saying it's extremely annoying since I never gave permission to be marketed by email and it doesn't make me want to buy from them again. Had a very polite reply yesterday saying I'd been removed from their telephone list. Then guess what-- got another call from this number this morning, googled it and here's everyone having the same problem. If ofcom won't deal with it, we need to make sure everyone here contacts them until they get enough complaints to do something!

They won't leave me alone, and I do not want to talk to them!  I don't mind their emailing me, but I don't want their reps pestering me on my mobile.

I've had Hotel Chocolat do this to me twice now...  After the first 10 calls where they would hang up when I answered, I called up and they took me off the list and it stopped for a while... now it is happening again - so I called up again and the woman said that only one of the boxes was ticked (how many do they need to say I do not want to be called???).  

What a way to lose a customer!

these people keep phoning me i bloked their number on my phone and used the website someone listed above to contact them and tell them to bugger off. i think i once walked past a hotel chocolat shop they think its ok to phone me every ten minutes trying to get me to buy chocolate

they used to call me all the time and it really annoyed me then they stop for ages and guess what?! just got another 2 missed calls from them. i don't think i've ever give my number to hotel chocolat though!!

This number keeps calling me, nearly every day for the past 3 weeks and sometimes in the evenings, as late as half 8PM a couple of times. When they rang me in the evening, I tried to call them back to complain, and there was an automated voice message saying if i wish to have my name taken off the list I could do so. So I rang the number and suprise suprise the office hours were 9-5. In which case why are they ringing me at half 8 in the evening!! They are a nusiance and disgraceful. I have put my name down on lists to be contacted about products, but never in this manner. It is harrassement.
I have never answered the phone to them, yet they keep calling! They should be fined for this and made to stop harrassing people in this manner!

I just had a call from them concerning "the chocolate tasting club", to my mobile.

My experiences of Hotel Chocolat have not been good; every time I try to order from them, at the final stage of the ordering process their website spews a Flash object that doesn't display properly, leading me to think the order's not confirmed; additionally I don't get any email confirmation. When I phone them up, they haven't heard of me. And yet they manage to take my money, sometimes twice over. That is not a kind of ineptitude of web-design or ethics or spam that I'll tolerate any more.

Have had a number of silent calls, and in some cases no number ID left.  got one today from this number.
I used to be in Hotel Chocolat's Tasting Club but haven't been for four or five years now as I found it too expensive when you didn't like so many of the chocs they sent you to try!
Have had a flier, and an email about rejoining in the last week so there could be a connection!

Had 8 calls in the past couple of weeks from these people, but as its my mobile at least I can ignore them.  I will never order from Hotel Chocolat again.

Seems to still be going...

I finally caught the call today after a number of missed calls or hangups. Seems to be as most people state - an offer about  a Chocolate Tasting Club. I did buy through Hotel Chocolat.

They have called: 29/10, 06/11, 10/11, 14/11, 16/11, 17/11 (x2), 20/11 and today. That is amongst my fone generally being off or out of reception so who knows how much they really did call.

I have said I am not interested in chocolate or their offer. Lets see what happens...

I've ordered once or twice from Hotel Chocolat's website in the past but never asked to be sent any info on offers etc (I hate spam). A couple of weeks ago this number started calling me and has called me about 3 times a day since then, sometimes the calls are silent. To be honest I've pretty much stopped picking up my land line phone at all now and have turned the ring volume down to low - I'm tempted just to unplug it until I need to make an outgoing call.

The same thing happened to me last year with these cold calls and I let it ring through and asked to be taken off their list - the calls seemed to stop then, but have now started up again for no reason (I haven't ordered anything from Hotel Chocolat in about the last year).

I've asked to be taken off their list again, but it doesn't seem to do much good. I guess I'll email a complaint to Hotel Chocolat as well, tho from what other people are saying that doesn't seem to do much good either :(
