These people called my 76 old father that he had entered a competion to win a bed and would they would like to call and see him.  1st he declined then they phoned again and badgered him into making a visit.  He agreed, but then thinking more clearly he phone them back and cancelled the visit.  Again the company phoned him to say the rep would be round the next day, he told them he had cancelled it but they denied getting the call.  So again he felt obliged to see the rep.  The rep called a 10am and never left untill 3pm in the afternoon, having convinced him to buy a bed for £3000 pounds and taken the money directly out of him debit account.  When he phoned me to tell me i couldnt beleive it because he nevers buy anything like that.  I am phoning to cancel the money tomorrow, they even said they were delivering the bed on the saturday, not even giving him his 7 day cooling down contract.  This is just not on.  If you have elderly parents warn them, even if they do have some faculties left.  Its just a conn and pressure sale.  My dad sees that now but didnt then.

If you wish you can e-mail karen.tripp@craftmatic.co.uk and demand your name taken of the automatic caller system, or you can tell them you are reporting them to bt as a nusicence caller.  That one usually works.

I used to Work for craftmatic based in Reading UK, and they not that bad, they did have rules to abide by but some of the colleagues didnt abide to them, the reason being the amazing bonuses per week per sale, one of my colleagues was making on average 3-5,000 a week yes 5 grand a week, the most he made in one month was 12,000, i see why people do the pressure sales and that cant be avoided, they do have proper training but nobody can stop pressure sales. Now considering Craftmatic are the largest worldwide ajustable bed company they must have millions of satisfied customers, and one day if you do need an ajustable bed youll most likely be buying it from them as their prices are very competitive, but i do simpahsis with the elderly, thats why its always a good idea to bring a relative or son/daughter to the appointment you make. They dont do anything illigal though. Its a tough life.

Got a call from this number noone on the other end. I pput down the phone nad picked up to 1471 but call was still connect, needed to repeatedly hang up before it would disconnect.

This has been happening a lot to me, are they using an illegal system which prevents the person from hanging up on them? Any info on how to prevent it?

I have been pestered by calls from this number many times recently despite requests to be removed from their database and threats to report them to the Data Protection Registrar. Have decided next time to go along with whatever they try to sell me and waste as much of their time as I possibly can.

I have been called repeatedly by this number but when I answer, the line goes dead. I have previously sent for information about Craftmatic beds and chairs and I think the calls have started since then. I certainly won't be buying from them!

I like many other people have been receiving calls from the so called craftmatic bed company on the number 0800 387 177, only to be met with silence upon picking up my phone oh how frustrating it is, it had got to the point where I was calling them back on the freephone number to see how they liked it, but when I finally had had enough and got through to someone, I requested that my number be removed from there call list or I would be taking the matter further, and believe me I am more than capable of doing so as I can be as stubborn as they are, the woman I spoke to said she would remove my number but it would take forty eight hours, so now I just play the waiting game and see if I still keep getting the nuisance calls.

I'm almost 70 years young and have had several calls from this craftmatic company, approx 3 silent calls (probably an automated dialing system) then my most recent call, to which I must admit was a very pleasant experience. The lady reminded me of a bed competition I had indeed entered - furthermore that I've been selected to receive a £500 shopping certificate for completing a "sleep" survey and agreeing to a presentation, incidently they didn't say I'd won a bed or £500 for that matter, luckily I own a good quality hearing aid as suggested by my grandson so I take the time to listen to any telephonist that care to call. When I was young cab driver I lived in New york and wouldn't give any telemarketer the time of day, but as my twilight years are upon me patience is the key. after a nice conversation I informed the lady I'd recently purchased an adjustamatic branded bed (endorsed by Gloria honeyford) therefore wouldn't be requiring another. The lady politely acknowledged this fact by thanking me for my time followed by a call termination. I imagine if I was that telemarketer getting rejection all day... a nice response from an old senile like me would welcomed!!!!

0800387177 called me 0927 29th Sept 2008. They said nothing just breathing. I see a mention of adjustable beds, we were told that we had won one, but we turned it down eventually as it didn't fit our purpose, we had thought they were portable beds suitable for putting up for a child, not a full size bed for an invalid. I got the number by dialling 1471 immediately after.

I answered the phone yesterday(30.9.08)-- two woman were holding a private conversation, it sounded as if one of them was telling her friend about a fight she'd been in. I kept saying "hello?" but they took no notice. Eventually I said "oh shutup" in the direction of the phone. Immediately one of them shouted "Did you just tell me to shut up? You must of been brought up bad--or rather dragged up".I put the phone down then dialled the number and asked who it was----it was Craftmatic UK

Keeps calling, like 3 or 4 times a day. Have caller display so choose to ignore it. They have rung before (Craftmatic) and I've said I'm not interested so don't know why they keep calling.

We have had about 8 calls so far this week from this number 7 were silent. On the one time they did speak he said it was CRAFTMATIC and we had been entered into a competition I said no thanks and asked where he'd got my number he wouldn't say. I asked him not to call again since that i've had another 3 calls at all times during the day and evening

Having originally agreed to consider buying one of their beds because we offered a holiday by entring a free draw, we have on several occasions asked them to not call us again, Craftmatic are still ringing our number and then after a few rings hang up when I return their call their answer machine trips in. We are fortunate to have BT Caller display so we don't answer it. I expect now to find a message on the phone asking me to ring back.If this still continues I'll really give them the run around,do they carry out a check to make sure I'm not declared bankrupt
