Report a phone call from 08006899008 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DillBeen riging this guy for a few days, goes straight to answer phone then asks me to leave my details. I actually did, guess I can look forwards to a lifetime of being harassed by cold callers!!! it was actually posted in the burton mail (burton-ot-trent). I rang the paper and told them about this site!!!
- shazjust e-mailed watchdog - something might be done now, fingers crossed everyone.

- Jimmy SI just made the mistake of calling "Mark" about 30mins ago before I did a google search about the company... Live and learn ay.
I've called Consumer Direct(kinda like trading standards) and they said it sounds very dogey, my main worry is that I've bin charged a large amount after pressing 1 to speak to mark so I called my phone company to see but they can't tell me until 48hrs after the call.
I'd recommend anyone else that's left a message to see if they've bin charged for it because somethings obviously not right here.
I'll be contacting my local paper now to get the advert removed if its on any longer, good luck people and I hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the rear latter on.

- recruitment advisori am a recruitment advisor for a local paper (not one named in the above comments!) and can confirm this ad is a hoax. Please do not call the number or worry about cold calls. The scam is the number is not a free-phone number at all and charges you to call it. This company is making money each time you call and leave your details. We are aware of the hoax and have already passed this on to all the titles in our group. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to ensure all advertising is genuine so please complain to the publication/website where you have seen the advert. Unfortunately due to the huge amount of phoney advertisers out there and the lengths they go to to conceal their true purposes it is becoming increasingly difficult to spot the hoaxers - and the more savvy (such as readers of this site) will most likely not be caught out.. ironically it is the people who wont read this that will most likely be caught out. What i can promise is that these adverts were most likely paid through dodgy means meaning the companys that have run the advert will most likely not be paid and therefore wont be running the adverts again - little comfort to those who have already been caught out but these companies will now be most likely more careful.
- ?????????????it also appears in the Whitley Bay News Gaurdian
- Advertising ManagerAs an Ad Manager who has just received a call about this advert from one of of our readers I have just checked this site and tried to contact the advertiser. Will stop the advert from appearing in our newspapers if this proves to be a 'scam'. I suggest job seekers contact the site/newspaper where they saw the advert and those newspapers are likely to do the same. Print adverts are covered by Advertising Standards Authority - so they are also someone to call or email if you don't have any luck with your local newspaper.

- Neil| 1 replyI can confirm this is NOT a scam. I have just had a call from Mark on the 0800 number and I have spoken to him about the Job. I have told Mark about this info on here and he has said he is trying to get back to everyone who has called the 0800 and he apologises for the delay. The Company has been going for 32 years (as per Companies House). If you have left a message you will be contacted shortly. He said he has been delayed because of getting alot of calls & xmas and new year break. The Job is a proper Job and I have got an interview next week with my local office. I will let you know after my interview with them.

- NeilI also forgot to say the 0800 is a Freephone number (checked by BT).

- Gill MurrayI replied to same ad in Reed and when I emailed 'Mark' to say couldnt get through he emailed to say please keep trying and quote
"This is a legitimate Job if you want it.
Please keep trying to get through. We have had problems with the phones & have been struggling through a powercut.
The Lines are open 9AM - 7PM Tomorrow Monday & 9AM - 7PM Tuesday to Friday.
If you cannot wait in the que then please ring 0800 6899008 & leave your name and number on the answerphone and I will get back to you within a few days" - Mark08006899008
I suggest everyone who has this listed in their local paper reports it to the paper, trading standards and possibly a report on the BBC watchdog page.

Doing nothing means people/companies like this get away with it time and time again.
I'm guessing the texts saying I'm entitled to compensation I'm currently receiving are from these people! - SamYes, same story here. The job has been advertised in Stoke on Trent and I received a text message back to ring an 0844 number and quote the reference 'ACSJAN TU' I googled that number and people have been put in a queue for 30-40 minutes just to be told to email their CV.
It's not legit and it's a way of them to make money out of you.
Report to your local newspaper and trading standards.- Caller: RBM Computer Services/Albion Computers
- grahami have just found this job advert in the local paper bury st edmunds suffolk, and typed in the no luckly before phoning and look what i found this site, well i won't be calling it now and if Mark is calling people back why dosent he come on this site and say something but all over the country the same same job...yeah right..x..
- stephanieJust seen this advertised in the Burnley Express, luckily I googled the number before ringing as I thought it sounded odd, especially not stating the company the 'job' was for? Shame, it sounded almost ideal lol
- paulthis ad has just run in coventry and hinckley. my missus needs a job so has now phoned and left 3 messages. i really hope it aint one of those phone scams as could be using our number to call the world or charging £5 per min that your on the call with some long message to listen to. he will be making a packet. these [***] need hunting down. if any one gets a call back please post it and we can arrange to meet MARK. the newspapers should be held responsable for not checking the advertiser but he must be making money some dosh cos to run ads in so many papers dont come cheap!!!!
- TanineI found a similar job advertised last year and was not too sure but rang the guy anyway, it turned out to be a scam he asked me to send £25 to them and they would send the books I needed for the training and software packages??
But i later found lots of reviews saying them sent the money and never got anything back, this job was for data entry.
I reported this to fish4jobs last year but they have cam up with a slightly new role this time? proabaly thought the call centre part makes ppl think it must be real.
I live in Cumbria and this advert is offered everywhere in our area, it is really suspicous that one guy is advertising for the whole of UK, do not apply I would stay clear - MarcThis ad is now appearing in Thanet (Kent), as there wasn’t any details about the company I searched the number on Google and found this site, fortunately. Out of all the comments I’ve read on here there is only one that says they think it is genuine, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the company themselves trying to reassure people and keep the calls coming!
I’m going to contact my local paper and Watchdog and try and stop this person / company benefiting from genuine people who are already hard up and looking for jobs! - babsI too have seen this ad loads of times in our local west cumbria newspapers and found it on a site while searching for jobs. i had never heard of them and tried to find the address in our local area but nothing showed up. after reading all of the above comments I'm now not surprised. he needs to be tracked down and reported to somebody and hauled in! B****** !!d
