Report a phone call from 08444418302 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Lorraine GeorgeI brought Space Bags online, and click to NOT pass on my number.
I now have started getting calls on mobile from 0844 4418302.
I have answered the phone, so I don't know who is calling. - Angry from Acton| 1 replyI really wish I had googled this company before purchasing these bags online to see that this was an issue. Similarly I bought the bags online and now have started to receive calls from this number even though I had specifically requested that my details were not shared. This must be against Data Privacy Regulations?!? This company should be held to task! If my credit card is debited by this other company I am going to take this to any organisation that will listen including the police!. Where are the regulators in this.. Surely with the complaints on these websites it shows that this privacy breach is a standard practice for this company?? I have tried to email their customer services to complain but the Email is undeliverable to the Email on their website.
- Caller: Free Time
- gbI think I will write to Space Bags and say "if I receive one more call from 08444418302, I will return my space bags for a full refund"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnnoyedI also ordered bags from space bags - not only have they passed my number onto free time - which I declined, they also passed my card details on as about a month later my bank rang saying free time had tried to process a card payment!!!! be very wary!!!!
- stacey renshawPLEASE STOP RINGING MY NUMBER
- mazzadI ordered space bags last year and I have just had a call thanking me for my order and trying to get me to accept a free booklet of offers. It was no use to me last year and of no interest now. They also passed my details on to a company called Leisure time, who sent me a booklet offering free holidays telling me that they were going to debit my account with 99.95 for the membership to there club if they didn't hear from me by a certain date to cancel. The booklet and letter arrived with only days to spare to cancel the membership, I had to cancel my cards because of these practices.
- Caller: name not given
- Kat| 1 replyI have just received another call from this number which I answered this time. I was told as a 'thank you' for placing my order with Space Bags last year they were sending me a free booklet of offers which I had to cancel within 30 days of receipt. I told them that I did not want the booklet and I certainly did not want them to take any money from my account after 30 days. I asked them to assure me that they would not take any money from my account and they then hung up on me without replying.
I am now going to contact my bank to request that they prevent any money from leaving my account but before I do could someone please confirm:-
What amount will they try and take?
What will be the name of the company attempting to make the transaction from my account?
Thank you!- Caller: Unknown - they just said Space Bags
- katie replies to KatI stupidly ordered these bags last year using my husbands card (he was with me and knew what I was doing) got the phone call and got the booklet it's only because my husband goes through our bank account with a fine tooth comb did he notice the £99.99 for free time? (I think) I lodged it with action fraud (the government fraud help line) and we managed to get a refund through our bank, think it helped that we had a fraud crime number too. This was all at the start of last year. Today I had a call on my mobile asking for my husband, I asked what it was regarding and he said oh it doesn't matter I will call later if he isn't available, I said we'll you can try but you have called my mobile so you will still get me, he then we on to say it was regarding the space bags he purchased last year!! I went mad and said 'your company illegally stole nearly £100 from our bank and I reported you for fraud! Take me off you mailing list and NEVER call me again!' he hung up. I'm fuming but anxious we are about to receive another letter and another attempt at our bank! Even thought we destroyed that card
- TimetigerThis is the second time I have been targeted by these rogues. Like many others I bought Space Bags and was sent a brochure about luxury holidays which I could not afford, so I threw it away. Apparently there was a letter accompanying the brochure that stated if I did not want to belong to their 'exclusive club' I must phone and cancel the subscription within 30 days. Some weeks later I found that £99 had been taken from my bank. Not only had the space bag retailer given them my home address but my bank account details as well. I managed to get the money returned to me through the efforts of my bank. That was about 2 years ago. I have just received another call from this number saying they are sending me a book of special offers and if there is nothing I want from it I can just throw it away. You can be sure I will read it thoroughly and cancel my so-called 'subscription' before they get the chance to take any money.

- margie303 replies to Angry from ActonThanks so much for your information on these people, I have done the same thing and have just had a missed call from them. I have contacted my bank and they will stop any payments from freetime and if they try and take any, I will be covered to have the money returned, I agree with you all that this is dishonest and exploitative and will be contacting the spacebag firm. You all have saved me a lot of hassle, which would add to my already high anxiety levels
- suzannei also bought space bags, this number phones me sometimes 3 times a day, so boogled the number thank god i did, thanks to
all your comments i have canceled my card. - Anne EvansLike so many others, this phone call came about after I bought Space ssver bags on internet. I did not want them to pass on my details to third parties. I still got a call from these scam artists and, since I always make a point of checking unknown numbers, I found out that I had been scammed into this 30 day trial. Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to call my bank who have immediately invalidated my bank card at my request. So, FREE TIME - in 30 days time when you attempt to take money from my account, the expression of eggs and faces springs to mind!

- Katheryn (UK)| 1 replyI have never heard of **Space bags** whatever the dickens they are (I am assuming there are used in conjunction with space suits?) -
However, this number has been calling my mobile up to 10 times a day! I never answer it - but it's getting annoying now. I don't have a smart phone (or modern phone) - so can not use -apps- or the like to block numbers. My mobile also has no function to block numbers.
Apart from this strange **Space Bags** seller - does anyone have any idea who else may be responsible for calling me? Oh well it was worth a try....... - Jill replies to Katheryn (UK)I too have been receiving numerous calls from this number and, like you, have never heard of Space Bags. I'm worried now after reading other posts about money being taken from people's bank accounts. I'm toying with the idea of answering the next call to try and get to the bottom of it . . .
- Ange M| 2 repliesI'm afraid to say I had the misfortune of answering my phone to these fraudsters. For 49 seconds I got spoke at, completely ignored and told they were sending my pack out. Even after I had repeatedly and firmly told them I wasn't interested and I didn't want it. That was over 2 weeks ago. Today, I have received a letter from Discover Discounts welcoming me to my free 30 day trial! Apparently this is because I had made a recent purchase from Eternal Cosmeceuticals Limited????? I have no idea who this company is!!!
Discover Discounts address on their letter head is Buzon 150, Calle Diamanté 19, P.I. La Ermita, 29603, Marbella, Malaga, Spain. Tel: 0203 455 7400.
I have registered my request to deny access to payment with my bank. My bank have informed me that they need them to attempt to take the money so they can investigate further for fraud but my money is quite safe and they are monitoring my account. I urge anyone that has the misfortune of dealing with these scumbags to register your concerns with your bank immediately. To say I am extremely angry is an understatement
**just noticed that the brochure says 'with Rox' at the bottom. Rox I believe are an anti aging cream company advertised on shopping channels- Caller: discover discounts

- Ange M replies to Ange M| 1 replyInvestigating this further..... it's apparent that this is most certainly a scam. Please report incidents to your banks.
- Valerie replies to Ange MI just checked my credit card and a payment was paid to ROX for £99.99 seems they used my number when i purchased some eye product on line, I am so glad i checked, and I would urge anyone to check both bank and credit card details. It is a scam I called the number and they are going to refund my money. It is a scam and a nasty one at that.
- CrosspatchI have received two calls from this number this week, despite being registered with TPS. They refuse to identify themselves, and say I have bought a mail order product (Rox Flawless Eyes) which I have never bought in my life. I have, however, bought Space Bags from Space Systems recently (not the first time, actually). In the past, they have contacted me to ask if everything was ok with the product and would I be interested in...? A firm No is usually the end of it. This time is different.
The cold caller (polite English voice if anyone is interested) will not give any details of this transaction (they 'don't have the details') and a request for the name of the company they represent results in them hanging up - worth bearing in mind as a stop-tactic.
So, how to deal with them? First, check bank statements to see if any fraudulent purchases have been made. The bank will refer it to their 'dodgy transaction department'. Second, complain to TPS if you are registered with them (online, very easy). Third, the Information Commission will investigate, so complain to them (online takes a few minutes). Fourth, contact Trading Standards who will connect you to Citizens Advice who will log and investigate (a little more time-consuming). Trading Standards is local and your Council will connect you/have the number. They then connect you to Citizens Advice. Fifth, you could contact Space Systems Ltd and complain directly (number and address, registered in Trafford Park, Manchester is online) if you believe in all good faith that they have sold on your details without permission. Don't let them say they will 'investigate if you give contact details'. Why investigate my purchase? They are open about the connection with Free Time but claim no knowledge of Rox.
Needless to say, I won't be buying Rox, Space Bags, whatever. Oh, and yes, I have a new bank card.
And also worth noting that cold callers should, by law (check it out online on the .gov.uk site) say who they are without being asked, and should also give an address and telephone number when asked. Any callback number must be a Freephone. If they are a UK registered company, it is illegal to call anyone registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). If a company misuses your information, they can be fined.- Caller: Refused to identify themselves
