just got a call from these clowns. i answered, they hung up.  called them back from office phone and got the 'please hold while i try to connect you' and eventually got an operator at Consumer Credit Services.  could it be that they're trying to check if a mobile number is still active..?
i'm on vodafone.

i just recieved a missed call from this number,it rang 3 times. i googled it straight away and thanks to the information on this site i won`t be adding to their coffers by returning their call!!! i`m on the orange network btw :)

I just got a call and called them back and she said "Consumer Credit Services" when I said I had a missed call on my mobile she just hung up.....sad people need to get a proper job

just got a call from this number and as with everyone, when I answered they hung up.  This is the 2nd call in as many days.  Yesterday I got a call from the number ending 9026 and this was the same, they just hung up!!

Spoken to O2 who's my provider and they've told me I can get the numbers barred.... wish me luck.....

Just got a cold call from the same number. God bless Google, god bless this website and thank christ we live in a day and age where we can check on crap like this before making the mistake of calling back.

Idiots like this always get caught out eventually - best thing for everyone to do it post here, then send a quick email to the BBC, they love exposing stuff like this.

I keep getting these calls to, is there anyway of reporting this company as it is really starting to hack me off, I get at least 3-4 calls a week and when I answer they always hang up, bunch of tossers!!!

How random... Keep getting call from this number on my spare phone.
It's on Orange, only bought a cheap one for orange wednesdays at the cinema, never used the phone for a phone call, only to text the other half when I've left my main phone (on Three) at work etc.
Strange how they got my number...

After them dealing with my claim successfully they asked me to write a review as many bad comments have let them down ....

Ministry of justice liscence number crm20280.....

they are regulated and despite my claim taking longer than was first said i did recieve a cheque back for  payment protection i had on a 12000 loan....

customer service was good ... however did take a while to get through which is something they need to deal with but they seem like a big company

I too got a missed call yesterday and today, Im on O2. Originally when trying to return the call, got cut off but today managed to speak with a guy called Ben, who was very pushy. I wanted to look for myself on the web but he insisting he would stay on the line  whilst i went online.
He was confident that i would receive money back on ppi and excessive credit card expenses!! for an upfront fee of £199 or £50 a month if i couldn t pay full amount immediately!!
Stated they government registered CRM20280.
If he hadn t been so worryingly pushy I think I may stupidly given my bank details!! nightmare!!

I too was contacted by CCS They gave me a website to check and the ref CRM 20 280/ As with everyone else it was in llanelli. The chap said his name was Ade and when i asked for a surname he paused for a while and then said webster. This made me suspicious. he wanted £199.99 upfront to sort out my issues.. he said no win no fee - I'd get my money back if things didn't work out - in that case surely he could take a £199.99 cut when succesful rather than offer me money back. I was warned by colleagues it was a scam and when I checked further the telephone number didn't quite tally. I think I've had a lucky escape.

They called me and I gave the guy an interrogation to start with, clearly a scam where they claim to be in partnership with the Government.  I asked for details at the start and they came up with Consumer Credit Services, 15-16 Cowell Street Llanelli SA15 1UU if anyone wishes to visit!  They also gave me 08443 843 168 which just holds, and the number they called me on was 01259 300 001.  Personally, I hope they all get boils and lice.

Yep to all the above only I am the plonker that gave out all details and paid £50 up front! I enquired re regulating government body, registration, ministry of justice register etc all checked out as authorised business. Then eventually found this. Now the back peddling begins, thought I had been thorough- thoroughly stupid as it turns out. DO NOT FOLLOW SUIT!!!!

i to had a phone call from this consumer credit services, i listened to the bloke on the phone and after he told me how much money i would receive back i agreed to pay the £199.99. within 24 hours i received the pack thourghly read it over and over, i checked out their website and everything checked out all their licences were on there and they are actually registered by a government body and the ministry of justice. i sent back the forms and within 8-12 weeks i received the money, the telephone number i have for the company is different to one that is being written about maybe there is more than one, and the real scammers are working off the same name.

i checked out all these blogs above, the consumer credit service that phoned me was a different number to the number that is having all these bad comments i have to agree with saarh, these people help me out, i to think that there is scams out there using the same name but as long as you ask for the licences numbers and check everything out ytou could get thousands and you get your money refunded

i work for the ccs and there we go the post i am replying to is a remarkable person she sighned up to our service followed all her commitments to us paid the 199 and heres the key point SHE GOT HER MONEY BACK people are far to quick to criticise and slow to compliment yet this customer is a glowing beacon that we work bloody hard for you ungratefull morons "oh no they keep calling me interrupting my oh so important life for 10 seconds" well boo hoo do u want 10 grand or whatever back then stop with the paranoid scam delusions get of your [***] and do somthing about it hehe may i sugest you try the consumer credit services :)
