- TonyWe looked at our latest BT bill and found that for the last month we had made a phone call every day at 04.41 @ 16/17p per call the No was 08448480809. Needless to say we were not happy, I keyed this No into laptop it came up with ADT and many complaints. We have had ADT in for years but these calls have only appeared now. We rang ADT who said the system had made these calls since installation,(so why is it charging us now NO ANSWER) I asked why it could not be a freephone No, the reply was that it could but We would have to pay £10.00 to change it, NO WAY !!! The outcome is not resolved yet, we are waiting for ADT complaints Dept. to call us back, we were told this could take several days as they are very busy ?. The outcome will be that ADT change the No for free and we are not charged extra or they rip it out and we go elsewhere as these calls make the service over 15% more expensive

- Jeremy replies to MahmoudIf you cancel your contract, you should make arrangement for someone to change the settings on your system to stop this from happening. A monitored system will continue to do as it's been told, without knowing that your contract with ADT has ended.

If that signalling call is not received at the Central Station, they know there is a problem with your monitoring. Without it there's no way of telling the difference between a system that doesn't send signals and one that can't.

When I moved in, I chose not to keep ADT alarm, so my landlord request to be cancelled and they were Sky customers, Im not..... So in my case, who pays me? Cause im not happy at all with this situation!!! Im being charge for an alarm I don't have and a company I don't use!!

- Phil DentSince the 4th September 2016 to the present date, 900 automatic calls have been made from/to this number from my landline at a cost of £137.29. Calls to BT to try and resolve the situation have failed either because I have been unable to get through to an operator or when I have done so, I have been speaking to call centre in India where my issue has nmot been understood or acted on

- chan replies to sarah okeefesame here with me, when i contacted the ADT they say that alarm doesn't belong to them and offer me engineer visit, at cost of £249, this is the most absurd thing i ever heard. Pure robbers.

- Debs HannahI’ve just rang ADT about this and the young lady that answered has just told us that it’s in our contract. She’s right, it is. But what isn’t stated in the contract is that for a one off annual payment of £12 you can switch to a free number! So we’ve just done the maths and when we could/should have paid £12 a year, we’ve paid on average £13 a month ... every month ... since 2010!!! I feel sick. So what could/should have been £120 since 2010 is actually around the £1400 mark as no 2 months are the same bill!!! Unbelievable. Tell your friends if they have an ADT alarm. So angry!
