got a call an could not understand a word that was left on my voice mail other than it was urgent

Payplan.
You contact them for free advice and debt management planning, they never help you to manage your debts but pass on your details to payplan insurance who then hound you with calls saying that they can save you money on your car insurance, home insurance, health insurance etc.  But it's nearly twice as expensive as my current insurance providers.  None the less, they still call and cut you off when you start the "please remove my phone number from your ..." sentence.

Payplan has helped me with my debts. They contacted my creditors and set up a payment plan. 4 out of 5 of the creditors stopped charging interest and accepted  a minimum payment based on the budget that payplan helped me work out. I have been on the plan for a year now and just went through a annual review and revised the payment to suit my circumstances. Yes they will offer you various plans like insurance, gas etc but they ask if you are interested and if you say yes they contact you and if you say not they don't. I don't know where the previous comment came from but it is definitely not the same company I have dealt with. They are great and they do all the debt management for free. No cut out of your repayments like some companies.

It's NOT Payplan, even tho they say they are ( and maybe ) connected to them... it's a company called RE-PLAN SOLUTIONS... the lass at the end of the phone was wanting to know if things were ok/any better... I did look into taking out a plan with Payplan about 12 months ago and have subsequently got a joint account with my partner which they weren't even aware of. After I told her this she said ok and went.. so they're obviously looking into sorting out a plan for you ??

The number is for a company Called RePlan Solutions who are part of teh same group of companies as PayPlan, they do the after call care for PayPlan to see if your circumstances have changed. They are not trying to sell you anything just tryng to help

They are not trying to sell cheap home insurance. Payplan have helped me crawl out of crippling debt and charged nothing for the service. They do offer insurances but these are cheap and help to get your creditors to agree to reduced repayments - i.e If you insure against repairs to home appliances, then you won't default on repayments because you have a new washing machine to pay for etc. If you insure your life then the debts are cleared and your family receive a lump sum. All the policies are appropriate to the work they do, not general insurance like car or travel policies.

Had a call from this number this mprning, but no message was left. Would be fair to say though that I am just entering a debt management plan with payplan, so wouldn't be suprised after reading this forum. if they had tried to contact me.

The company is PayPlan, a reputable debt management company.

I have just been called and it IS Payplan (membership).

This IS payplan and they have helped me very much - true that their associates may try to flog you insurance etc  - no hard-sell that I've experienced.  I think their service, as middle-man, is exemplary. I would have probably topped myself by now if they hadn't helped plan my debt management. I expect they dial wrong numbers like anybody else.

pay plan are fantastic they helped me to get away from debt and all they ask is you consider thier insurance!!!!   if i won the lottery i would give them 10% of it they are brill . Any one that disses them can speak to me i will put them right    bravo payplan  and thank god for them   ps i have nothing to do with them this comment is stright from the heart   !!!!!!

greysnout you are right mate they are fantastic   i would recommend them to anyone !! i found about them through the church !! i dont think the vicar wiould say they were good if not !!!!!

That's all fine... I just received a call from this number asking for someone I didn't even know, and they refused to tell me who they were. I have not had any dealings with any playplan company.  This type of cold calling is terrible.  They confirmed my telephone numer but again refuse to say who they were due to data protection act.... yet they phoned MY telephone number asking for a person I have no clue about!!

Data Protection is to protect the consumer, it does not stop a company telling us who they are.  In fact, they are required by law to tell us.  Report these calls to The Information Commissioner's Office. It is easy to do on line and you don t need the company's name, just the phone number.  The ICO is cracking down on this type of random call and text and has already fined two of these pests £50,000 each.

It's an associated company of Payplan's called Stake Your Claim, they deal with PPI claims

Sorry, but that isn't true that they don't help you to manage your debts. They do. I have never been bothered with them trying to sell me insurance etc.
