I got this call today but I missed it. When I went into the voicemail it told me to phone Sam Ford with my reference number. I didn't bother phoning back as it was a 0845 phone number. I am glad I found this site and to know that it was the TV Licence b******s trying to phone me. Thing that angers me is that I up to date with my licence and still they are on my back:(

I had them phone me 2 bloody idiots im on my hols and they still torture me.this is tv license ppl.

It's TV Licencing for when your on the pay so much a week scheme.  They text you first to tell you how much you owe them, if you fall behind.  If the payment is not made then a week later you get a call from this number to remind you to pay...it's nothing sinister just a reminder.....

Same here, I have an easy payment plan and I forgot to pay it last week.  Apart from being annoyed I have to pay for a licence at all, can't complain about the call.  I'd rather a person though not a robot.

Sam Ford must be a busy a person.

it's tv people i just told them they had the wrong number but they do still phone back now and again

Had a call from same number saying they were Tv licensing, asking if I could pay with debit card arrears of one week...not had this before and I have never given my mobile number out to them. Obviously said no I couldn't pay by card over phone would pay later that day. Week later received a payment plan update and I am in credit for 4 weeks!! Felt very uncomfortable with the whole thing.

Had a text on Monday and then a call today, asking for a name I head never heard before. I pay monthly on DD and have NEVER given my mobile number to any TV licencing database, so I suspect the worse ... if they want the cash they should send a letter ! I never give CC/DC details over the phone except when I make the call !

this bloody number keeps ringing me and sometimes they say nothing and sometimes its a robot woman saying something i never stay on the line long enogh to here what she's saying i wish it would stop its starting to pee me off now .

i've had loads of these calls and texts from tv licensing. It's actualy illegal what theyre doing. unsolicited persistant calls and texts constitute harrasment. i went to the police and complained, guess what? they stopped! now i've bought an lg viewty phone and changed the call settings so i only recieve calls from my phonebook ie: people who i WANT to call me! works for me peeps.

Under Government legislation introduced on 1st May 1999 and replaced on 11th December 2003 by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, it is unlawful to make unsolicited telesales/marketing calls to individuals who have expressed their wish not to receive such calls.

I know now it's only the TV Licensing re Cash Plans and they only phone if you're in arrears, but I wish their brains would work as quick as their computers.  I am not in arrears, like most people here.  I think this is [***], they're making the calls (in arrears or not) to keep themselves in a job - Tossers!
