haha im at home from work today throwin a sicky and thought it might be work callin me so didnt answer but they called me like every 10 mins so thought id do a search on google for the number, turns out yes-comparethemarket.com! GRRRRRR...oh ther goes the phone agen.... think i'l answer it this time n tel them where to stik ther bloody quote!

I've the same problems - so I've done a bit of digging -
If anyone is interested - the company behind Compare the Market is BISL Ltd - their telephone number is 01733 845555 or 01733 374444 - perhaps we should all start giving them silent phone calls to see how they like it and hopefully clog up their phone lines!!
I know two wrongs don't make a right - but it could be fun!!

Further to my previous post - you could also try complaining the The Financial Services Authority who are supposed to regulate BISL Ltd - their FSA number is 308896 and the FSA have the authority to impose penalties and stop their nuisance calls.

I CALLED THEM EARLIER TODAY TO ASK THEM TO DELETE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR DATABASE. THEY SAID THEY DID BUT THEY ARE STILL CALLING ME!!!

If you're still getting the calls - try picking the phone up, not speaking, then putting down after a few seconds.
I did that yesterday and they haven't called since :-)

Same for me.  I used Compare the Market last week.  Tried them for car insurance a few months ago.  Fannied around inputting in all my details and requirements and got a good deal...or so I thought!  When I 'phoned to arrange and pay, the price had gone up! Made the same mistake again re. home insurance last week.  Their quote was a lot more than my existing company, Legal and General, so they could not help me.  Now they are just annoying me by calling constantly.  I've told them three times now that no longer require their help and now I seem to have been placed on some automated system.  'Phone rings every few minutes and there's nobody there!  Is this a punishment for not using them d'ya think??!!

They called me at 8 in the morning!

Calling me for a week
I have asked many times for them to stop calling but it must be an automated system

i hav had a phone call every 10mins with silent voicemails left, 20 missed calls today.i used comparethemarket.com.it's such a nuisance.

I have had approx 20 missed calls - I answered twice and both times it was someone calling from a car insurance comparison website - I compared insurance online a couple of days ago. On both of the occasions when I answered the phone they told me that AA insurance could quote me a cheaper price than I was quoted on the website - he "put me through to AA" but when the phone was answered they had no idea what I was talking about! And when they FINALLY gave me a price it was £100 more expensive than the cheapest price on the comparison website!! I have now been well and truly put off using a comparison website in the future.

i keep getting these calls constant i registered with the tps and they have put a complaint through.Ill never use the site again.They phone about every 30mins!!!

Rang asked for me when asked them who is calling disconnected

Got a missed call from this number 30 mins ago, no voice mail left, ive never used comparethemarket.com or ever given out my number so i dont know how they would have got it.

I make farm yard noises down the phone at them. Don't know if it helps but it makes me feel better.

When I answered they hung up. Could have been from comparethemarket.com

Called me then hung up. When I tried to call back a recorded message saidthis number was not in service and thengave me an international number to call.

008456850049 keep calling me , when i pick up , they hang the phone up, I am going to report this to the police and trading standards as this must be stopped, i strongly urge anyone else to do the same.

I just gave them hell on the phone, The lady hung up on me  I urge everyone  to phone 01733 845555 and complain, Dont be polite as they are not being polite to us,  I feel striped of my personal privacy rights and Until law enforcement stops them harassing us all by nucience calls, we have every dam right to complain.
