They asked me to stay on the line to get some van quotes and so I did, they guaranteed me a cheaper quote than what I have already got - I asked them how sure they were that I would get a cheaper quote, the reply: We guarantee it.

The result: They could not get anywhere near what I have been quoted with MMA - they were £800 dearer

As for being TPA registered: You cannot complain as when you have been on their site, their terms and conditions state that they can contact you, even if you tick the no calls box, there is another box somewhere thatyou have missed

Ive now asked them to remove my details with immediate effect and should they ring me again I will be pursuing further action through my solicitors

Registered with Compare the Market - within minutes had a missed call from this number!

Aha! All makes sense now ~ thanks guys! Went onto CompareTheMarket this morning for a quote and have scince been bombarded by calls from this number.... that I'm completely ignoring!

So flipping annoying, got calls from this number at least 6 or 7 times already today. When I picked up the phone there was no answer so I'm ignoring calls from this number from now on...

They rang me 4 times after using comparethemarket.com. They wanted to bounce me to another insurance company.

They ring persistently and when you ring back they appear to be able to identify you from a withheld number

compare the market called me about 20 seconds after the quotes came through on the internet!  I told them then that i was not interested did not have time..( that's why i did it on the internet!) since then i have been called at least 5 times a day ( today every 15 mins for 2 hours) , hopefully by ignoring them they will go away...

if you answer and speak it automatically hangs up, if you wait in silence for a few seconds an operator speaks, might as well wait a bit and waste their time as well!

Got a call from this number this morning, i didnt answer because i was busy. I didnt recognise the number but im assuming its an insurance broke or something as it was an 0845 number. I havent been searching for quotes online so i dont know how they got my number but i will not be answering if they call again! =]

Woke me up twice this morning after a night shift.
And yes, I'd just got a quote from Compare The Market.

Identified as Compare the Market after searching for house insurance. Constantly calling my mobile, however have now placed an auto reject on the number which means it doesn't ring out but does annoyingly show as a missed call every ten minutes !!!!

I love compare the market.com advert so when I wanted car insurance quotes I obviously thought of them first. Then a few days later I get a call from someone from compare the market who had a cheap quote from swinton, I told them I had cover and wasnt interested but they said they will transfer me. When they did no one answered so i put the phone down. Now they have rung me over 10times in one day this has been going on for over 5 days. If I knew they would harras me like this that I dont want to answer my phone I would not have used them!!!!!
