    Annoyed
Mobile Interactive Group  (MIG), words fail me as to their marketing strategy. My 10 year old son had over £70 put on to his mobile account. In the end the only way to stop the texts was to change the number.
Vodafone were not very helpful, but the customer service operator did mention that Vodafone was loosing a lot of customers because of MIG and there text messaging. I called the number given by vodafone and this goes to a reception at MIG that puts you through to an answer phone that nobody replies to (0870 2354042).
We did try to have my sons account capped but vodafone do not do this. We therefore are going to move to Tesco who do. Reading several other forums has mentioned that the phonepayplus are not interested    ( http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/), although if enough people complain then surely something should be done. Please all complain!  Anyway to fill in some blanks on MIG.
The company is run by 2 gentlemen Richard Mann and Barry Houlihan. Both these gentlemen are directors of several similar companies.
This will site confirms details MIG.

You can purchase alot more info here at a small price as MIG is a LTD company.

    Directors details.

MIG has actually been brought out by a company called Velti.
This website allows you to contact them.( Barry and Richard are now directors of Velti)
    http://www.velti.co.uk/contact-us.html
This website gives address and telephone numbers including the York Road London.
    http://www.velti.co.uk/offices.html

On the velti site, it actually states,

'Boost revenue through data and premium text usage.
Increase ARPU by encouraging customers to participate in targeted promotions through the use of inventive mobile entertainment options. Interaction that are enjoyable for them become profitable for you.'

This is certainly not enjoyable for the customer when it affects children who have no concept of targetted premium promotions!

Further, to MIG it is associated with a website migcan.com (see previous link)
This link will show you who runs the website and more phone numbers.
    http://www.whois.com/whois/migcan.com
Actually migcan.co.uk looks to be owned by the same people.

Hope this helps. (If the lines are engaged, its probably me! keep trying.)

Tried phoning the 0870 number and got asked to leave a message on the answer machine. Tried the 0800 number and got put on silent hold for 2 minutes, followed by white noise down the phone. Very helpful. Both my son's phones have been scammed. The trouble is, texting STOP doesn't work so they've deleted the numbers and figured it was ok. We're relatively lucky compared to some. Only 80 quid so far!

I've had the exact same problem except the text comes from 60001210! 2 text messages were sent quoting 'you will receive your reciept shortly' charging £4 each!. I rang my service provider Orange who were no help what so ever but gave me the number 08702480277 and had to sort it myself.

When you ring this you are given 3 options 1 and 2 are to unsubscribe to the service where you have to text the 5 digit code and stop all. Option 3 allows you to speak to a customer service operative. The phone rings- no one answers and then you are asked to leave a message.

If you ring 0800 500 212 and give them the 5 digit code they will try to 'investigate'.

Highly likely chance none of us will get our money back.

    My solution change my sim

Apparently it also charges £ if you text a landline via your mobile that is not covered by your service contract. Only found out by my sons mobile bill with 3.

    I just received a text:
"thanks for purchasing a NMM 1-month license.  £1.50 will be added to ypur phone bill.  For help 08702480277 or customersupport@nq.com"

I tried to contact O2 but as the phone is in my partner's name they wouldn't deal with me, so I texted "stop all" in response to this and recieved another text - "Thank you. Your stop request to 83338 has been successfully processed.  You will no longer receive messages".

Obviously I'll have to check that I don't get charged, but I have no idea what NMM is!

Please desist from sending any further texts to my mobile which is costing an extortionate £1.50 a time to receive them I am receiving them from 700035108 and 80876 one of them appears to be Aspers, no idea who the other one is nor do I wish to receive these texts. What I would like is to receive a refund for the bombardment of calls I've received from these numbers.
