Got charged 15.00 on bill fm  text number 78484, phone provider says need to phone 08702480277 to stop this or text back STOP to number 78484 which I have just done, reply came back as  "you have been removed from this service" so I will just have to wait until next months bill to find out

I live abroad and got contract with t-mobile as thought good deal in comparison to pay-as-you-go for use only in UK. Has cost me a fortune in unsolicited texts daily from 700020702 who t-mobile tell me are from a company called MIG and gave me contact number as 08702480277, which also seems to be a scam.
Tols t-mob only started after took out contract...coincidence? I think not. They told me to report it to mob watchdog on 0800500212. Just for info, you can have all these types of calls blocked centrally from mobile provider...why don't they tell you that in the literature? Maybe I am just a very suspicious person???

I'm now getting answerphone messages from this lot an old foreign sounding man asking for Charmaine or asking for Charmaine to ring him before 7pm sounds ratty because no ones answering!!! Still convinced they managed to reverse the charges to me on 66666 no. I was charged £16.46 for a 15 minute call they didn't put down when noone answered, but O2 says my sim has not been tampered with.It was this service centre no. it came from, no coincidence.

SMS premier texts can be to pay for things online. But scammers are using this technology to send texts. You don't need to subscribe, merely clicking on a pop up web page if enough for them to get your number. Some of them even buy lists of numbers to text.

Sending STOP doesn't always work if they are scammers, it can mean they steal more money.
Do to way up if its a scam or not before replying.

The contact details in the text or given by your mobile provider will rarely work. Sometimes they are premier rate lines so think before dialing.

You can report them to Ofcom, and the telecom ombudsman.

But to get a refund, phone your mobile service provider (normally 150). Be firm, persistent, but polite. Whatever they say, they do refund these charges (they take a percentage in profit from each sms text), I've had one.

Its a pity that criminals like this have been allowed to steal money from people (incl children and the vulnerable) for years. They are no better than peadophiles. And no one has stopped them. Well thats the world we live in I suppose.

These [***] just took £24 pound out of my account.
Tx stop but they still sent tx messages.
EE would not give me a refund,it was either cap my payment or change my phone number.
I hope i never get hold of these [***] cause then it will be PAY BACK TIME.
