- SimHi,
Maybe they have changed the way they operate. I recieved a letter on Friday and the text on Tuesday, by this point i had paid virgin it was a slight over sight on my part. When i rang them they said right away who there were only asked for refrence number and my name and then i advised them i paid it. That was pretty much the end of that.
The only thing is i was just 3 weeks paying it and they reffered me to RMA!!! I am a bit annoyed wth virgin at the moment 3 weeks over due and they are doing this. Really shows the credit crunch just makes financial lenders more agressive!
Oh well....- Caller: RMA
- bis bash bosherBish bash bosh you are a [***]! Some people have genuine reasons as to why they aren't/can't pay their debts!! [***] idiot
- Andrew BrownOH TEH NOES! I R IN DEBT!
Haha, I agree Bish Bash Bosh
Makes entertaining reading at wok at any rate :] - yat tutulooks like i'm not the only one. does anyone know how to stop them?
- anoyedcompany work on behalf of some credits cards miss one payment and even if you have discussed with your credit card company they still ring and text. rude no customer skills credit card companys should not use them as it reflects on them
- Anon Tip OffDealt with this company last night. They are legite collectors for MBNA virgin BUT they are very pushy. I already told them last week my payment intentions and they choose to ignore their own notes (if they had any) that they should have made on this call. I ended up telling them to f@$* off but they still inundate me with calls. Luckily my Samsung can filter calls so they have been added to my block list!
- Anon Tip OffThis company is part of NCO and their senior management are based in france!!
- RonAs for the comments about debt here is my situation. I survived a car crash in which my wife of 17 years died. After six years I met somebody else. She emptied my bank account of £70,000 and can't be traced. She ran up credit card debts of £97,000 too.
This RMA are phoning me ten times a day, are bombarding me with letters, texts etc. I have stated my position and am paying off what I can. Last week I was told by some arrogant 20 year old at RMA old that 'you need to check your next bird out properly mate' and that 'if you have a bad credit record your future doesn't bear thinking about. What if you lose your home' etc etc.
I know someone who has run training seminars for RMA and they have mantras such as 'debtors are losers'and are taught to use aggressive tactics, sending calling cards saying that they will visit your place of employment, saying that can ask your emplyer to contribute, saying that my daughter could be asked to pay etc. The staff earn £6,500 per annum basic and their wage is made up by £20 bonus if someone makes their agreed payment.
Oh and by the way I am not some sponger I work for a well know City law firm and earn a six digit salary. The debt is not my fault but the harrssment has lead me to be on anti depressants, I have severe blood pressure and am a nervous wreck. - NoneNot only Virgin but they work on behalf of MBNA
They can be very rude - Derek SmallsRMA have my number because it has been recycled by BT about 3 years ago, they keep phoning and asking for Mr X, I keep telling them he does'nt live here or have theis phone number anymore, this has no effect. Any other ideas on how to stop them calling?
- Caller: RMA
- AmandaTexted me and asked me to call back urgently qouting a reference
- TedTom, [***] off with your self-righteousness - Tim was just making a point about the company and the way they go about their business... I'm sure Tim feels a [***] load better now you have expressed concern for HIS credit score.
As it happens, I agree with Tim - Perhaps if lenders were more understanding when the [***] hits the fan, (very often I point out beyond all control of the person concerned) they would, in my opinion, have less bad debt to write off... which maybe (just maybe) would mean less multi-billion pound bail outs and a far better banking system....
.... But then, I guess that wouldn't be good for profits... would it Tom!?

- Mark DaviesIts a company called RMA they work on behalf of MBNA collecting money for outstanding card payments

- JohnWith you, Bish Bash Bosh.
People need to realise that if you're behind, that's that and to pay attention to their credit agreement.
Regarding getting numbers removed though, for you genuine types that have nothing to do with them, write to the client RMA call on behalf of advising this. Chances are (as mentioned) your no. has been recycled off some one else.
Or you have an ex that used your no. (with your permission) and that no. got stored.
In regards to RMA being "Secretive" they're not legally allowed to divulge much information because of DPA. So if you won't confirm your name, for example, why do you think they'll start telling you about personal debt information? - KellyI am so fed up with these people. Admit I have payment problems, make arrangements to pay them on a certain date and they still call me every day between the day I make the arrangement and the date it is due to ask when I'm paying! Have been told overdue payments are on "auto dial" ... well, I don't care. Get it sorted or I'm going to the ombudsman.
They use several different telephone numbers too ... all of which are listed on this website which is very useful because I ignore them all now when I know I have set a payment date with them.- Caller: RMA
- KellyForgot to add something to that last message I left ... they consistently ask if I can make a debit card payment, I consistently tell them that Nationwide (my bank) do not automatically assign debit cards to their account holders, they are by request only and I have never needed one ... why don't they make a note on their records?
They have also, on several occasions, suggested I make the payment on another credit card! Is it just me, or is this suggestion ludicrous when I am having to juggle bills as it is! I make arrangements to pay and stick to them. I have no control over the current financial situation I am in (a crystal ball was unavailable three years ago when I sank all my money into a house, my partner was made redundant earlier this year with sporadic work since, I have had no pay rise this year and no bonus second year running)and this firm in particular are making my life a misery with their constant calls, their attitude and practices. I can't believe companies like Virgin and MBNA, supposed professionals, entertain passing their business to people like this.- Caller: RMA
